Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

Note to self:

@NatalieS, what were you thinking this morning? Were you thinking at all? Yes, you had a bee in your bonnet and wanted to tell Lil Bro you didn't want to watch him self-destruct, but everything came out wrong and he had no idea what you were talking about-and how much time did you spend apologising for interrupting his sleep, which made you feel really small-and this has been playing on your mind for most of the day, but you really want to talk to him face-to-face, thinking you forgot that not everyone gets up at the crack of dawn like you do....maybe tomorrow will be the right day to let him know that you are not abandoning him, but just distancing yourself from him until he sorts out his own issues.....he needs to take responsibility for his own life and own issues....just saying....

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

We had a massive fight.
It's not the first fight about the same thing.
Apparently I offend him by my words. That he is sick of me just saying words ony head
If I want to be with him I have to censure myself.

I said something that offended him.
So he got angry
Shouted at me.
Triggered my trauma
I cried
More fighting
I have to take responsibility for who I am?
As though I amnt?

I'm so sick of having to tip toe around men.
He gets to say and define the relationship he wants.
Mean while I have to just accept it?or leave?

And that isn't an intimatum??
I guess I'm not worth it after all.
Leaving tomorrow.
Neveroomong back.

Dear @Awpgirl

I read these words you write and cringe inside because they resonate with my life and my experiences with some men

I'm so sick of having to tip toe around men.
He gets to say and define the relationship he wants.
Mean while I have to just accept it?or leave?

Sometimes it's an all or nothing thing with some men and its like a power trip for them because they define the rules and boundaries of a relationship, though having said that, I've also had some very positive and loving and equal relationships with men.

You deserve some peace and happiness. You are soooooo worth it and I am thinking of you. Hugz and

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

Hi @NatalieS thank you for your support.
I wrote that when I was very distressed.
I have to take responsibility for my part in the argument.
I made a horrible statement which caused him distressed.
We both had been drinking

Being yelled at by a man triggers my trauma. Once I told him he was shouting he did lower his voice.
He reassured me and surrounded me with love and safety.

THIS IS SOMETHING IM NOT USED TO!!!!!!

@NatalieS

"I'm so sick of having to tip toe around men.

I dunno if that is a mindset that I have had imprinted into my brain and if it truly applies toy current relationship.

I have identified that we have fights like this wheny trauma gets triggered and I have been drinking.

The reality is when I told him he was triggering my trauma he stopped yelling. He apologized.
I still have some things to verify with him however I said things in anger and so did he.

He is is very good at setting boundaries where as boundary setting is not my strong point.
I don't know if this relationship will survive however we both feel it's worth fighting for.

I just need to establish my own core values and set my own boundaries; challenge the things I am unhappy with and see how thst goes

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

I worry that I won't make it through yet another storm.

I worry that I'll end up in hospital, somewhere I hate to be.

I worry if that happens, how my fur baby would cope without me, and me without her.

Yet I worry about getting through the storm and carrying on again and again, to end up back here. The circle never stops.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

I love that this space has been created so that we can get the potentially negative thoughts out of our heads and therefore out of ourselves.

I am really struggling today.
After the huge fight on Friday night we had a lovely yesterday. Only none of the issues have been resolved. I don't know how to bring it up.
Meanwhile he is asleep and I am at home supposed to cleaning for a house inspection.
I'm so depressed I can hardly drag myself out of bed

He wouldn't book our holiday or come with me to buy furniture.
I don't know the truth of the matter.
I am terrified I'll be alone forever
