Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

I'm going to distance myself from my "little brother" who I randomly met on the bus about a month before Christmas, and who I've caught up with a couple of times a week since then for a chat and coffee, because he seems to be caught in a downward spiral of self-loathing, loneliness and has taken up abusing various substances again. And this, in turn, leads to him being vicious and nasty, with everything being about him, and then he turns everything into a pity party. Hey, I get it. Just about everyone on the planet has had one or some bad/sad/traumatic experiences-and I would never downplay anyone else's life experiences because all of us are unique and we all try to deal with things in our own time and own ways-but he is the one who needs to take responsibility for what is happening in his life and try to work out what's important and who's important, and if he wants help or not. He is a beautiful person with a good heart and, when he's not like this, his manner is really soothing. I'm on my own journey, and I think I'm turning a corner for the best (fingers and toes crossed), but I'm not going to put up with what I can only describe as narcissistic behaviour. Thanks again for allowing me to rant and rave.

Walking with you @BlueBay

Sometimes we don't have anything left to give, or we don't want to walk away from something or someone because of the pain, but we need to think of ourselves because we are special...very hard to do but sometimes we've got to do it for our own health and wellbeing.

Take care.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

I had to spend the day with my ex husband to go to court and finalise the divorce.
I thought I'd be relieved
Instead I ended up in hospital after dissociating and ring I'm the midst of a panic attack.
I now am very confused
Seeing him brought up alot of emotions I wasn't expecting.
I miss him.
I'm in another relationship and am in love with my boyfriend. I feel like I've lost so much

I know I should be focussing on the present and creating a positive future.its like my past has hooks in me that won't let go

Hi @Awpgirl

I hear what you're saying.

Sometimes what our heads and our hearts believe are two entirely different things. And it just is.

Please don't be too harsh on yourself...we are all human and what we feel is what we feel.

There are no "shoulds" or "oughts".

Thinking of you.
