Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

This replacement fence business is taking a toll on me.

I've not slept well any night, for several days.

The neighbour only gave me 2 day's notice, that she wanted tradesmen to start - with no consultation or involvement (by me) in the process.

They're installing the wrong colour colorbond panels - it's green, & we're now stuck with it. My neighbour told me it would be sand (grey) colour. I asked for cream.

What's worse is they claim it's a supposed favour to me (by my neighbour). I said Not Green - sand or cream is fine..

It's No favour to put in what I asked Not to have.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

My mood has been dropping these past few days. I've tried to 'fake it til I make it' - like my psychologist tells me, but it's not working.
I fear that I might be at the beginning of slipping into my vortex of depression. I'm scared of where I may ne headed.
All day I do nothing. Read, drink, smoke, sleep. Each day is the same as the last, & likely will be the same as the future. I hate MI.
And this heat isn't helping.
I look around my yard and all I see is grass so long and thick, I don't think the lawnmower would get through it. The house is a mess. Full of dust bunnies and junk. Not a single clean room. All so very depressing. Just reinforcesy negative self talk on how bad I am. All the 'shoulds' I should be doing. But doing none.
6 days til Christmas and I don't want to be sick.
I hate my life!

I hate what I have become, I hate what I do to myself and I hate myself for it. It just doesn't seem worth it anymore. It should be getting better instead of worse but it's not. How can this be living?

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

The fence is finally finished after almost 2 weeks - so no more noise & comotion, just a mess to somehow clean up.

I finalised my part payment with my neighbour this afternoon, despite the fact that the huge cost ($5000) could not be budgeted for - I had to borrow the money.

Then just as I'm looking forward to some peace & quiet (at the end of it all) - my other side neighbour told me that they will be laying out one tonne of Gravel (footpath & front yard) this weekend...

I've had more than enough noise & demands from my neighbours. Ridiculous.

That same neighbour (doing the gravel) slashed holes in my reticulation pipes (whilst digging a hole), completely smashed up my groundcover shrubs, & broke my air pump (which he had borrowed).

He took no responsibility for the damage that he caused, he even claimed that my air pump was already broken (it wasn't).

Stop the planet, I want to get off... Or at least send my neighbours away.

I deserve people who show me respect, who at least take responsibility for what they do.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

I'm feeling blah... down, agitated, easily irritated .... I feel like screaming but can't/wont. I don't know which.
Mood still slipping. Anxiety rising thinking about Christmas eve family lunch and having to smile and talk to everyone.
I really don't want to do Christmas. I don't want to see the family. I want to hibernate in my room, in my house. But I know that I will get sick again if I keep staying in my room. But the desire to socialise is not there. It just makes me anxious. And then I get the guilts. And then the negative self talk. Then the depression. I hate this. I hate it. I hate it.

I feel so alone in my MI, almost like a freak. No one gets it, and though I understand that, it makes it all so much harder. I so wish I didn't put so much effort into surviving back then, because right now I don't want to survive at all, not even for fur baby.

Hi @Maggie I feel somewhat lost and isolated so can appreciate how you feel life s---ks at times. Xmas is not a greatly enjoyable occasion for many people and one can go along with these feelings. Trying to count my blessings but it is not easy. Hope and pray that we'll feel our spirits lift as we approach the New Year. Hugs and blessings sent your way - Bimby2
