Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

My side neighbour came up to me this morning (we don't talk, due to past incidents).

She said she wants to replace the side fence, at a total cost of well over $2000. It does need to be done, I agreed.

That was a big surprise, & it's an unexpected expense that I cannot budget for.

My work income is less than unemployment benefits.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

I've just made a second trip in one day (a long way) back to work base, a long way from my home - to attend the 1.5 hour staff meeting.

There has never been any recognition on any occasion, of my having to drive all the way out there (30km) just for that meeting.

I felt "lectured at" & insulted. I only heard threats & intimidation from management (blame) - including mostly things that they are now taking away from staff (with no objections raised).

We have been made responsible for lodging our own timesheets, otherwise we will not be paid (at all). The office has alway lodged our paysheets (for years), that's what they're paid to do.

When there is no way (so far) to actually lodge that timesheet - when we are mostly community-based (not in the office), & it dfoes not work sending it electronically (via email etc)

Plus we are now expected to do all this extra paperwork in our own time (at home), unpaid.

This is ridiculous. I've been trying to get another job for ages, with no success.

Working there is like shifting deck chairs around on a sinking ship, when it's already sinking...

I'm so depressed (when I'm not feeling infuriated) by it.

We were pressured (in that work meeting) to make ourselves available to work 8am to 8pm every day of the week - or else "provide a reason" why not.

That expectation has never been made before - I physically cannot work early mornings (eg 5am) or late evenings, like I used to in horticulture (gardening).

My health deteriorates when I attempt to work even one 5am or one 8pm shift - then I basically cannot function for work the entire next day.

I don't want to tell work that I have CPTSD, or Sleep Apnea. I'm fairly sure that it would not receive a compassionate response (from work). In fact, knowing what they've said to other people - it would most likely bring derision & criticism.
