Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

I'm really annoyed that the mental health system has resorted to putting me on medication. I can't believe what this wretched medication is doing to my body and mind. It has basically destroyed me through and through. It's not much of a life...

Now everytime i reach out too "the professionals " of "the system " there is this belief that medication is helping me stay way and doing me good. When in actual fact. It is the most horrible experience i could possible imagine.

It stops this supposed illness getting out of hand. But creates a world of other very serious problems that I'm left to contend with. Andi think it is a pathetic effort on behalf of the government to provide me with health care as a citizen and member of the public.

It is basically like being condemned to a life of torment and misery. And being made to believe that there is no other way. And no other solution. It is absolutely pathetic of the government mental health system to do what they have done too me.

As a patient of the mental health system for 12 years now. I can understand exactly why it is classified as broken bye the federal review.

Not happy about the life of medication use I'm basically being forced too live.

I am scared I won’t be able to survive the mess that is me. I am even more scared that I will continue to survive. 🙁

I'm still in shock over the work harrassment (intimidation) by a staff member. Such aggression.

Then someone yesteray was very rude & intimidating towards two of us - which added to the stress & overwhelm.

I'm in a daze, trying to ground myself somehow.

No action has yet been taken from my written report of the Wednesday incident, & I was not offered any support or counselling by the employer (workplace).

I'm feeling very lonely & alone, especially after this shock.

It won't be until next Tuesday that I can talk to my psychologist.

I've been trying to distract & relax myself, or to engage with anything for the past 48 hours - with little success.

I'm still in a dissociated (overwhelm) haze.

At least I managed to do some shopping trips, so I have enough food & things.

I didn't manage to get myself to enjoy anything, or to find things to enjoy.

I wish that I could just "shake off" traumatic events, intimidation & aggression - so that it wouldn't continue to affect me for days, weeks (even months) afterwards.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

Left work early Friday because so much was triggering me and I felt unsafe, even with people I've worked with for 17 years. Rang an organisation that I'm hooked in with and asked if I could just sit in the waiting room for a while. I didn't necessarily want to talk about things, I was just weepy and wanted a safe place to rest and recharge for a while. I was totally anxious and agitated and wasn't able to soothe myself. And now it's Sunday and I'm still triggered and anxious and agitated. It's been 5 weeks since I've stopped drinking and the cravings are extreme. I'm eating so much junk food and have piled on some weight. Drinking was one way of coping with past and present issues. Past and present issues are the same and I don't have any support at home. My window of tolerance is shrinking fast. Everything's poured out of Pandora's box, I'm trying to cope with so much stuff, but not doing a good job of things. My thoughts are just looping and I'm feeling so vulnerable. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

I am so scared and so tired and so alone. The only thing that ever changes is that things get worse. The fear is so huge now. It is huge and I am going to be stuck here, but I can’t be stuck here. I can’t survive here, but I also really don’t want to survive. It is all so big, so hard, so exhausting. When is it okay to stop? (Being on a no-response thread, that is a rhetorical question.)
