Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

I been carrying excess baggage for the better part of two decades now. And you name it. It's in the baggage somewhere. From time to time. I'll be pondering about in my own little world. And then all of a sudden. I'll be struck down with shock about something that I've done in my past. And it creates a bad and negative reaction within me. Which results in stress and bad behaviors. Which brings me down and keeps me stuck in this negative scenario.

It's like a conscious and subconscious thing

There is triggers which are attached to certain pieces of baggage. And it sparks off a chain reaction. And leads too lots of negative energy coming upon me. Which I'm left to deal with. And i just ain't got the techniques or strategies. Or better relationships in place too lean on which help me deal with and move on quickly.

Alot of this baggage came about during my teenage age years. When i was using drugs and rather stressed. And the first stages of my illness where starting to manifest and develop into debilitating symptoms. And started triggering of the domino effect of analyzing and picking to pieces everything that had ever happened to me. Or I'd done wrong.

As away of trying to excuse myself from everything I'd done wrong. I started blaming what had happened to me. And it was the most vicious, toxic and poisonous thing i have ever experienced.

I would love too wake up tomorrow morning and feel mentally and physically good. Make wise decisions and get on with doing what is best for myself.

Hahaha I'm a tripper.......

No reply required. In two weeks time I am getting a new team leader at work. I have worked with this person before and she has limited people skills. Only a select few people at work know about some of my issues. The executive group and the few trusted people are very supportive but I am totally freaking out about what will happen when the new team leader starts.

I worry that Sane Forums will see that I'm useless being a Community Guide.

I worry that I will find out that Im tireder and tireder and dissappoint all my supports.

I worry that this new found understanding I have with my three brothers will fall away.

Hi @PeppiPatty,

You are doing a great job as a community guide! Please if you can, whipe this from your list of worries. You need only to be yourself, to be a good guide. The ironic thing about worrying about being too tired, is that all the worrying is exhausting and makes us more tired. Its great that you care so much about your commitments, responsbilities and relationships with others. We have your back here and beleive in you.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

Well, i thought I'd done enough worrying too last me a lifetime in the first half of my life. But it still comes back for more. Getting better at managing the challenges of each day. The morning times i compare to an old car warming up in the mornings. Once I'm at cruising speed I'm fine.

I'd like more control over my actions. And less time getting pulled around on a leash bye my mental issues. However, it all sort of balances out at the end of the day.

Recognising what i need or want. And when i need and want it. And following through with achieving it with minimal issues. Whether it be food. Water. A rest. Some self care time. Some socialising time. Some retail therapy and consumerism time. A walk. A chat with a friend. Family time.

I got lots of good people in my life. And things are really looking up. But that feeling of being overwhelmed and not in control of my wellbeing. Really gets the better of me.

I'm not too sure which I'm more worried about:
- dying
- waking up tomorrow morning
But I don't have the guts for either option.
