Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

Hell to the yeah, fixed that sucker! Now to just... add on all the improvements I was already struggling with before that setback. 😕
Don't want to be at work anymore... Is it home-time yet?

I've lost my job and just got my first rejection for a job application.

I know there will probably be many to follow, but I'm finding it hard to walk away from that worry.

Why do I always have to go to the shops?! It takes 25 minutes to walk there and it's too cold for this shit.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

Yet again it is the middle of the night and I am not asleep. I know that everyone is doing everything they can around me to try to help 'solve' this huge problem for me - I am doing everything asked of me by both my GP and psychiatrist. I am beyond frustrated that I am constantly in this state at night. I feel like I am sitting in silence but surrounded by so much noise. It is dark even with the lights on. I am alone but feel the 'presence' of 'people' around. I am too tired to move and too scared to try to sleep. I really, really HATE this. I hate feeling trapped in my own thoughts, I hate feeling like the past controls every part of me, I hate that I can't sleep, I hate that I am so exhausted each day that I am not able to do anything, I hate that I think, I hate that I AM! I just want it to stop - all of it - the feelings, the fears, the 'secrets', my life as it is!

I don't hurt anyone, I don't judge anyone, I try to always see the best in everyone and I try to help anyone that needs support - but I can't do any of that for myself. I don't think I am worth the time or energy myself. I know this is an irrational belief but it is a long-held belief. Yet again my mind is focussed on how others have treated me and I internalise this treatment and believe it is always going to be that way - that I am on this earth to be a 'toy' to be played with at the discretion of others. I cannot get out of this mindset - I don't see I deserve any better - there is too much pain to see past. I want this to end and I don't care how it eventuates - just that it does!

I am worried that I will demage my career with this illness. The perfectionist in me wants to do well so bad, but now I just can't. I feel very very unwell and lonely and unhappy. The worry of this not passing is huge and I don't know how to leave it behind.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

Thanks for this share, it was very helpful to read.

I, too, don't feel very 'normal' at the moment. People have recently become aware that I have mental health issues and are backing away it seems. I feel this rather desperate need to make things better 'right now', but am realizing that it is out of my control and that, I think, only time is going to help this one. I will take my meds and hope for long term stability for my kids sake anyway. Hard to manage in the moment though, the anxiety and depression.

Thanks again for your inspiring words in this thread generally.

worried that life will always be this complicated, confusing and hard. the problems will never stop, the solutions.. unattainable, unrealistic or just not possible. that i'll hurt this much forever. that there really isnt a purpose behind life, theres no meaning and no reason to fight.
