Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

I stated my daughter was popping pills to stop her pain and to sleep "they are prescribed and she is taking the appropriate amount". "No rules were broken". Whoever did this has done the wrong thing and caused distress. Won't be posting here again looking for support as it is "not safe" and there is a clear lack of concern for members well being shown here". But I do thank @Former-Member for her compassion. You will make a great mental health worker - and you did help. Something that cannot be learnt from books. Very disappointing but Can't expect much more from those who don't understand or care

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

I'm positive the moderators were not being personal or attacking you. They really do care, as do other members. I read your post and felt your pain. I wished I could do something to help. I'm sorry that all this has happened to you.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

Hi @Former-Member,

I've just logged on and read your post about your previous post being removed, and will look into it. There are processes that the moderators must follow. This includes getting in contact with members if there has been a breach of guidelines. If this happens, then the moderator that's on needs to get in contact with the member to let them know why, and if appropriate work with them to edit their post. I will get in contact with you once I know more to let you know what's happened.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

Hi @CherryBomb

No explaination or email was sent. No rules were broken as explained above. This is unacceptable and yes, I am in turmoil. To say the least there was no care, respect or compassion shown. "My husband is dying and this is how I was treated". I hope this "never happens to anyone else". I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Compassion and care should always come before "rules". Very cold to the receiver. And no explaination will suffice. As no rules were even broken in this case - I know that without doubt. Although not intentional - it was careless and wrong. Lucky I am strong as it would of been enough to push most overtheedge when in such grief.

I can't tell you how upsetting it is to a person expressing distress to have their post removed and discarded - that is the same as saying their pain and circumstances is discarded and irrelevant.

I will continue to support but will never feel safe enough to express my struggles on here again. As this is the second time this has happened with no rules being broken. And even if there was the way it was done was cold and obviously with no care to my distress.

I appreciate you looking into it. This is the second time this has happened when I mentioned my daughter was taking pills - "this is the prescribed amount she is taking to sleep, never in my post was I indicating self harm" - both times "no rules were broken".

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

Hi @Former-Member,

I'm terribly sorry for the confusion. I just looked via our email, and your post, and you're right, there's no reason that it should have not been allowed to be published. I have just approved it on my end.

My only sense of this is that it was a horrible mistake. It seems odd that a moderator (and completely against the processes that we have in place) would remove a post without letting the member know. Sometimes posts can accidently be rejected. This can happen when the moderator clicks a post twice on our backend, which is easy to do, and it has happened in the past. It's not justifying what's happened, and I'm still yet to get to the bottom of it. But if intances like these do happen, please let us know and we can look into it. Mistakes do happen on our end. And more importantly, it's great that you've raised this. I will follow up with the moderator to ensure that they understand the importance of the procedures we have.

Once again, I'm sorry about this. It take a lot to share as you have done, I can only imagine the pain this would have caused given everything that you are going through.

Take care,

CherryBomb

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

😔 @Former-Member. I had a post removed yesterday accidentally by a new moderator. It was a genuine mistake. I'm so sorry it happened after such a heart wrenching post. Please don't let this stop you sharing. You are so dearly valued here and deserve to have support, not just give so generously as you do. I'll always try to be here for you. 💜🤗

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

Thank you @CherryBomb for looking into this so promptly and for your honesty in acknowledging that no rules were broken. Unfortunately my distress is still raw. I could understand it being a mistake if it was the first time - but it is the second time for the same reasons. And I have explained this before - so you could imagine my anguish with it happening again. And under such horrific circumstances.

And I wasn't even given the respect from this moderator of an explaination or email when it was removed which is against protocol. A personal apology from this moderator would be nice. But I do appreciate your care. You have nothing to apologise for @CherryBomb. Someone else does. Thank you.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

No, I'm sorry. I found the post triggering and in the 20 or so versions not once did it say that she was taking the prescribed amounts.
i understand that you're going through hell right now, but I don't need images of young girls doing what nearly killed me and gave me ptsd.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

@Former-Member - the moderators ruling was "there were no rules broken and "there was no reason that my post should of been removed". It was the moderators mistake. This is a thread where all can express their grief and leave with "no one responding". Could you please respect that and have some respect - and stop distressing me more and stop responding where not invited.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

Where not invited? So I have to be personably invited to wake up from ptsd nightmares after and get the joy of hearing about your daughter stockpiling pills?
