Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

Hi @Former-Member 💖💖💖

Thank you for you post- its great to hear from you as always....

My Dad will come up later in the week and I will be seeing him when I am discharged, he is flying down to Sydney, and we are going to stay down there for a few days. Thank you for your support and kind words my friend. I am feeling stronger in myself, and that is a good feeling!!

I love the autumn weather too, I am going to do a bit of cleaning over the next two days and leave the rest for when I come home. I am glad to hear you are doing some exercise and sometimes when weight plateaus you need to change the intensity of the workout. I know having thyroid and other health conditions does not help but I do know how determine you are and you will get there. My weight had been plateauing too and that was the formula I have used and I am starting to get results.

The Northern Beaches has great hospitals, I would agree. I have not checked the weather report in the last few days but I will be packing for some cooler days just in case. Most of the program is delivered through lectures, group therapy, workshops & activities, yoga, beach walks, peer support- discussion and interaction and medical support. One of my goals is to gain better coping strategies- even though many of the patients may present with a different core problem(alcohol, addiction, self esteem issues, PTSD, bioploar, eating disrorder) many of them if not 99% of patients have underlying MI (depression and anxiety). We do have workshops and lectures on depression and anxiety.I did have a good Sunday. I look forward to catching up with you before Thursday. Sending you lots of warm hugs too💖💖💖

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

I worry that something bad is always just around the corner, waiting to strike. I worry that it will happen when I don't expect it and when things are going well. I can acknowledge that there are good moments and that's a great thing but I feel like they're very temporary. It makes it very hard to be able to relax and really appreciate the good times. I'm so scared of the fall that happens when bad things strike, that I worry I won't ever be able to let my guard down again. Lately it feels safer to be right down than it does to try and climb up knowing that I will fall anyway. I worry that that's a bad place to sit for long.

I worry that the more effort I put into trying to rebuild and put everything back together, the more I will be disappointed when my efforts don't help, and I worry that I'm already so full of sadness, pain, anger, fear and regret, that there's no room for disappointment too.

I'm worried that I'll be this pathetic forever, that I'll never get past whatever this is to be the person I could have become. That I'm too abnormal and unlikable and limited and needing-things-to-be-on-my-own-terms-itive for anyone to want around.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

Here we go again - welcome to my nightmare.

My husband had a mass internal bleed yesterday. He has been losing weight and has not been well for awhile and now it's looking serious. He managed to get an emergency appt with his cancer/urologist specialist next Monday. He is very weak.

At the same time my daughter's mental state took a turn for the worst (before knowledge of her fathers condition). She hasn't left her room for two days, stocking up on pills and sleeping. I believe due to another abuse situation she puts herself in. It just goes on and on....She also has a rash from head to toe and her health is deterioating. Can't do anything about it, she won't listen and now I don't have the emotional strength.

I entered the New Year believing it would be a much better one than the tradegy and stress of last year. But the nightmare continues and there is nothing I can do to stop it. It's out of my control.

Every fear I held is coming true - every fear I held as a parent does for their child has come true and much more than I ever expected would be possible. Cruel.

I have loved and given to my fullest capacity, tried to make the most of life but life won't let me live. It has sucked everything out of me now. If there was any perceivable way to make a better life, to create joy and well being I would do it. But in my case it's impossible. Not due to MI but due to tragic circumstances that produces mental anguish, anxiety and depression.

I have a love for life but life won't let me live. It's the way it is and this is very, very hard to accept. I cry from the grief of the loss of my dreams - all gone, all gone. It's the way it is but it hurts like hell. Especially knowing I have given my all..Have loved so much.. So hard to accept and resign to - it's against my nature. But I can't deny it's reality - it's over. Nothing is going to change. Hard to believe sometimes but this is not a reality I can escape this time.

The reality being I am not meant to be happy in this life....not meant to be. This is becoming obvious. Oh God I feel so alone in it.

The love, prayers and support we have received from friends and well wishers has been encouraging, strengthening and soothing. I have so much love for these people - for so many people. So why? Why did I have to be destroyed? And that's what does not make sense - I had so much to give. Why couldn't I give it? Why won't life allow it? Why can't I live and have a chance...this life takes the life right out of me. My soul is losing its fervour. It's over for me.

And although others feel for us there's is nothing they can do. They can never replace the love of my partner. The one who gave me the will....

I see so many overcome and triumph - but no matter what I do I can't win. That was the case from the outset. Knocked down time and time again - I faced it with such strength. But it's not enough. I have no control, no power, and my light is dimming. Grief in all its ugliness is devouring me.

So here I sit in anguish realising it's over for me. All because of circumstance I can do nothing about. Not from a lack of giving my all... And it is not going to get better. What now?

I feel like crying "my God my God why hast thou forsaken me". But I don't believe he has, I will never believe it. As then all would be gone. Nothing left but darkness.

I had to get this out - grief and loss is consuming me. My pain is great. It's so dark

Oh 😢 @Former-Member
I'm so so sorry. My heart goes out for you right now. I know there is nothing I can say that will change anything but please know I'm here for you and I'm crying with you. I dearly wish you could have a break from all this. You've had enough suffering in your life. But please know your daughter will eventually get through this after lots of ups and downs and your beautiful husband is a fighter. Hold on to hope. It's got you a long way in this life. Sending you many hugs and my hope. 💜🤗💐

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

To add insult to injury my post expressing my grief has been removed with no explaination. No rules broken I can guarantee. This has added to my anguish and turmoil. So wrong on so many levels. I expected more compassion and understanding from moderators than that. Won't be doing it again. Not safe here.

I think it was your description of your daughters actions that breached sane forum rules.
