Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

I’m very new to really connecting with the forums. I’m finding a mixed bag of emotions since I’ve started to engage. I have received an amazing welcome. I’m delighted to have been able to start to venture into the heady world of bipolar..and am looking forward to what’s to come. I would really like to connect with some more bipolar alcoholics as this is near to my heart and lived experience. I am very much enjoying sharing some learnings and insights with others (I am very conscience of not being too preachy). I am fascinated by the journeys that some of the discussions take. But I feel a little bit of a fake in submitting my shares when there are still so many bombs going on in my life, which is anything but perfect (why should anyone listen to me). Nonetheless, the journey of engagement has been more positive than negative so far so I think I’ll persist for now…

The lines are constantly being shifted, the goals are being shifted too, right out of reach. The images are real, the thoughts are real, yet it seems like I'm looking down on myself. My brain has decided it is time to surrender.

This can't go on much longer. The more I try to stop it, the more real it feels. The longer I invest, the stronger my brain envelopes my body, will, being.

I hope I can get through tonight to see my psych tomorrow

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

I’ve had a horrible day. Ended up disclosing to my boss my distress at feeling that I felt I had suffered abuse at the hands of a member of management. I feel ashamed and embarrassed as I broke down during the discussion. I must confess that I was a little worried as to whether I’d be taken seriously given my earlier disclosure to him that I’m bipolar. The discussion arose from my OCD and anxiety discussions with my psychologist wherein it had been agreed this would be a coping strategy. In the end of it all…no resolution and no way forward as yet. Will just have to wait to see what happens next. But my boss was very clear that he had heard my concerns.

Another year around the sun without my baby girl. I hate tomorrow and wish I could wipe it off the calendar .

What I wouldn’t give to hold her precious broken body in my arms and kiss her all over. Aren’t a mother’s kisses supposed to fix her baby’s hurt ?

Why do I have to do this every year. I know I won’t cope tomorrow and I can’t talk to anyone about it.

sorry for rambling

Hey @RedHorse,

I know this is a safe space to vent and walk away, but I'm just checking in to see that you are safe for now?

Life is just too hard sometimes. I feel like the light inside of me just keeps going out. I should be stronger, should be able to do this.
