Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

The mental health system isn't improving @Arizona. It fricking sucks! If dealing with mental health, one may as well be in prison. Criminals and mental health patients are treated exactly the same way, like shit.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

@Bunniekins I agree. We are all treated like babies on here. I tried to find other forums but they're all the bloody same. You guys are wonderful people I just hate the frigging Guidelines — we aren't stupid idiots, ya know?

Hey @Former-Member, with respect to the intended nature of this here thread (i.e. vent without comment), I did just want to pop my head in quickly to acknowledge the hurt you're expressing here in you posts, and to assure you that all feedback is welcome if you'd like to leave some.

The most impactful way to do this is to send an email to team@saneforums.org where the team will escalate feedback. Hope this helps 😊

@Former-Member

Something about what you said really struck a nerve for me. Despite all the research and money and positive attitudes etc etc.

My son actually told me he preferred to work with prison and justice system OVER the MH system which is why we are in the predicament we are in. Its MADDENING for me. He is so obviously not criminal material he stands out like a sore thumb, but for him that is where he feels he has choice. He totally rejects the MH system for the way it has treated him, and the way it has let the family down historically, over 2 generations. Court yesterday adjourned to May.

@Former-Member thank you for letting me know. I have also used the feedback form several times, so if I find I'm having more issues I'll also send an email with feedback.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

@Appleblossom yes exactly. Hopefully your son will keep improving with his mental health despite the obstacles from the MH system.
I've also asked my GP about decision-making where I can allow him and some others to make decisions for me from time to time. He has ethical concerns with this approach, and isn't happy that MH is babying me and then rejecting paperwork from himself and ambulance paramedics. He said it's not the fault of the police officers or ambulance people. It's the people in the office that are causing all the issues. No wonder so many people are being burnt out! So next time I get help from ambulance, I'll be thanking them and then yelling at the psychiatrists at the hospital. My GP is avoiding this battle for now @Appleblossom, as he'd like my health to be really good to prevent complications from Covid.

Hello Worry room where I am going to attempt to throw everything up that is eating away at me at the moment in regards to

THE SYSTEM

Vented and now put to rest

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

very quickly

I am a person who has gone back and deleted posts.

It does not state in the forums guidelines that this is not allowed.

For me it is not about continuing the story

It is about my personal safety.

confidentiality

my son's privacy, confidentiality, safety,

having our son in our lives somehow somewhere, as best we can

I will be deleting the previous post at some stage also..

I am not doing this to upset anyone and my belief is that if a person is upset.

their reaction is not my responsibility

People who write on here are usually letting go

Please allow them that without added judgements..

There

No response thank you

I respect that you respect my wishes

Thank you to all who hit the support button and took the time to read my vent

You have helped me feel less alone with this horror

Traumatic, painful leaving me feeling as though I have failed my son.

I know that i would respond to these words written by another with support and reassurance..advising the opposite.

It takes so much strength to put the above into place in the first instance.

Fighting such a choice until knowing out of my help...needing expertise

needing to keep him safe.

Nevertheless my feelings are real at this current time....

aftermath of what should never ever have to be such an inhumane treatment of anyone.

So I am going to delete the vent as I stated that I would need to do in order

to keep my son, myself, our family safe, protected , secure.

Please do not give up on yourselves anyone currently having to deal with such a broken system.

There are still some within the system who are invaluable

Sadly they are overshadowed and often go unnoticed due to those who abuse the rights of others.
