Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

Blank
Gave you too much now I'm swallowed
Now I'm the fool while you're breaking rules
The dangerous path that I follow oh
Go on, just do what you do
And it hurts
As a blank for you
Cry for you oh
Let me blank
As I blank for you
Cry for you oh
Let me blank
Let me blank
Let me
All of the pain seems to follow
Like a shadow dark and cold to the touch
Am I insane not to let go oh
Go on, just do what you do
And it hurts
As I blank for you
Cry for you oh
Let me bleed
As I blank for you
Cry for you oh
Let me blank
Let me blank
Let me
Let me blank

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

I want to be left alone. I don't want to socialise with anybody, I used to be people-oriented, but not anymore. I don't like getting into fights with others and then I get the blame not only for my behaviour, but for how other people behave, too!!! I'm fed up with it. I'm also fed up with my life situation but I have some coping strategies from some brilliant people (whom I can't thank on here as this would blow annonymity) but there are so many brilliant people in my life who understand, they understand that I'm not angry with them personally and I don't have it against most people when I break down. Just a few people who I know don't care about me — but I'm learning that those non-caring people aren't worth my time of day or my energy. I also can't stand this current bureaucratic system, but there's nothing a complaint will do to change the bloody stupid rubbish. So between medical care in the community and medical care inpatient (again, I don't want to blow annonymity so can't expound or explain myself properly), but anyway, at least I'm still kicking and hanging by a thread. I'm cooking my dinner now, I do easy dinners which takes less effort for me and I have a lot of support from my support network so I can continue to function, again by a thread, at home. Vent over.

Hi @Bunniekins
Ditto wanting to flag posts but also understanding that we all have the right to do posts here. I'm sorry you feel this way. However, on the bright side of things we are all here to support each other and by all means, if you are concerned about a post, you also have every right to flag it. Thank you for being honest with your concerns on here, honesty goes a long way in fixing problems in all of our life situations. I myself am recovering from a really bad incident from last week but I'm still safe and I like coming onto the forums and interacting on here. I hope you and others continue to cope as best you can and please please, have a good evening!

You are not forgotten either @Sophia1 as hard as it is, please try to take care of yourself. And if you need a break, please take one. Nobody is upset with you for taking a break from the forums and looking after yourself for awhile. We would all rather you take time to yourself so you can recover properly, meaning that you will recover better if you look after yourself properly.
I'm sorry you are going through a hard time at the moment and I hope life picks up for you. It eventually will get better! Just take time out and take it easy for awhile hey? We are all here to support one another. Take care and look after yourself now and all the best!

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

The Hospital Letter (for Gastroscopy & Colonoscopy) says:

"As you are having this procedure under sedation, please arrange a responsible adult to collect you from the ward, and stay with you overnight. This is hospital policy, and failure to do so may result in your procedure being cancelled."

This assumes that this is Within my Power (everyone's) to Easily Arrange - It is Not.

I do Not have any available means (or people) to arrange this, or to bring this about.

I never have had, on any previous occasion (either) - for 5 Surgeries.

I live on my own, I have no-one to pick me up, to take me home, or to stay with me Overnight.

I have no idea what to do, or how to ensure that they do not Cancel my Procedure - Using this as Justification.

@Adge I know I'm not meant to reply but am wondering if the hospital has social workers who could help you find a service that will provide transport and overnight care if you don't have a friend or neighbour you could ask.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

@Adge have you tried explaining your situation to the hospital and doctors? Maybe send them a reply letter? They can't just cancel your procedures like that, especially knowing that you need arrangements to be made because of your circumstances.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

@TheVorticon I reckon so too. Surely something other than a surgical cancellation can be arranged.

Today I feel tormented by voices in my head. I’ve tried distractionsl but I am without my own voice.
