Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

This Work is all Self-Paced - What Times I go out, & for How Long.

That's actually Really Hard.

I've been given the Entire Workload for 6 weeks (all at once) this morning - I'm supposed to work that out myself....

A personal contact said “Take it gently” (pace myself) & encouraged me (beforehand) – They gave me a Checklist of what to pack (Yes I used it).

The Work Apps were a Nightmare – SafeZ App said I had never Checked in (after Checking me in).

MyWork App kept on Blanking out all the Info I entered on What houses I had Visited (said I had not Visited any)(0) – Then it said later that I had Visited several Houses Twice (2X).

I Flaked out after 2 hours on the Job (Visiting Houses) – My mind went to Mush, so I had to Call it Quits (at that point).

This was at the end of a Long Day (Tuesdays are Always Long) - Where I had left home at 8.30am for City Appointment, got home shortly before 12.00 Midday.

So perhaps I was expecting too much of myself - For a 1st Solo Work Shift....

My psych and pdoc have both gone to phone appointments due to lockdown.

Then today I find out that ECT is cancelled b/c of lockdown.

I should be thankful, at least I still have some support.

Yet it is hard to feel that way. The downward spiral has begun and I am scared it is getting worse. I am scared of my thoughts. I'm not sure how much longer.

Hey @Snowie,

I'm sorry to hear you're struggling right now. Just a heads up that I'm going to send an email to check in 😊

I can't believe that we're in lockdown again. I'm so annoyed that I can't pick up my bike.

It also annoys me that 'normal' people are now competing for services with people like me, who have a real, severe mental illness.

i feel like im always stuffing something up. Just as something starts to be ok it goes down the drain usually because of me just for being me. I am starting to think i should just hide away from everyone and everything. seems like its the safest place to be for everyone.

Hello @outlander

It is probably not much comfort to know that you are not on your own. My activity on the forum helps me to feel as though I am contributing in some way. The considerable support, from the various people with whom I have contact here, is very encouraging . However, in many other ways, I feel as though I am going backward, which is definitely not pleasant to feel or experience.

A few years ago, I was outside and physically active, but recently, I find it difficult to accomplish even basic everyday household activities.

I am fortunate in being able to speak with a counsellor with whom I have a good rapport. I am dealing with some long standing issues that have resurfaced. The backlog of things to be done just seems to be getting bigger, which is a concern. The major issue is psychological, but compounded by back issues. I am fortunate that as a result of back operations, I am still independently mobile. However, I miss being able to do some of the activities, like mechanical work, that I generally enjoy.

Although this response may not be terribly uplifting, I am looking forward to improving my situation, and hope that I will be able to be more positive in the not too distant future.

With My Best Wishes

@HenryX
