Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Zoom Online “Face-to-Face” Training for Census Field Officers, has just been scheduled (via 1.00pm email today).

For this Friday 20th – 9.30 to 5.30pm, about 8 hours straight (Wow).

No consultation for that one – Just Bang, Take it or Leave it (& not get job).

I got quite a shock, not because of how long (Yes 8 hours is Long) – Maybe because of the Formality.

Plus it wipes out my Yoga Class + DES Provider Appointment.

I have had severe Tooth (nerve) pain through my Jaw, for the past few days – Worst today. This is not helping me keep a calm frame of mind (Ouch, that Hurts).

It’s maybe due to the last Dentist drilling episode (huge filling), about 2 weeks ago.

I'm worried about slipping back into the dark angry self-hating place. It's such a well worn path and I don't want to go back to it, but it seems inevitable. 😞

I was reading the Topic Tuesday thread about the Royal Commission and it made me really angry, but I don't feel that I can talk about it here. I don't think people would understand. And this makes me feel alone in my experience of having a mental illness and even more like I was 'born into the wrong time'.

Hello @TheVorticon

You are in territory that other people and I have been, so you are definitely not on your own. I was talking, with a friend, in the last day or so. We commented that we really have to have some structure around us to help in staying in the better place. Might call it

buttressing

. Like all these sort of comments, they are easy to state, but not always as easy to put into practice. However, if we at least have the need in mind, we may consciously or unconsciously, draw the right people, situation and circumstance to us.

With Best Wishes

@HenryX

I think there are times when I just have to accept that I can't fight my depression and there's nothing I can do about it. It makes me angry because I have had depression for so long and I have suffered for so long. I think all I can do is be kind to myself and look after myself, but even that is hard to do when you have depression. I don't know what the solution is but I have had enough. I have just had enough.

It's disappointing tstl
I simply DON'T understand.
Relationships are the absolute hardest thing to navigate on the planet.
It's the silent treatment that hurts the most, but I guess that's the goal... to hurt. Strange how things get twisted and turned around that way. Sad. I don't have that kinda 'fight' left in me, but I guess they know that too... easy target. Really gotta find more the 'shield of faith' to guard my heart from the dEvil's arrows.
I'm doing the best I can, struggling like everyone else, perfectly imperfect, there's not much more I have. Only Jesus walked perfect.
My old friend has moved to the bigsmoke for her 2month chemo & radiation treatment, around the corner from me. It's nice having more time together but I so wish circumstances were different. She loves the chats and company (so nice when people validate us). I've put meditations, music and movies on a USB for her and got it going in the back of her rental tv, in the gorgeous little hospital cottage accommodation. We go for our walks round the block together, and share the dog lead 🤗 oh my goodness, She just dotes over my Georgia dog who even gets a slice of devon every visit :face_with_rolling_eyes: Really hope I'm making a gentle difference there at least. Finding that balance between staying positive yet sensitive. Hurting people hurt people (often inadvertantly) so gotta muzzle the hurting me, it's the only way if we want to help people.
We really are just "walking each other home" so we just gotta keep our head above water in rough seas and try be more kind ti the person beside us at the least, say less do more, even if we disappear a little in the process fo tomorrow one of us may no be here.
Praying 4 you. Be strong 🙏

I know I should take no notice of what others say but it is hard not to be affected by words.

I hate people, I hate me and I hate this life. Over everything.

Hi @Snowie ,

Words can hurt so much. I'm sorry to hear of the hatred you are feeling towards yourself and the world right now. I am sitting here with you.

Thanks @HenryX. It's a good metaphor but I also want to sabotage my own buttresses.
