Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

Hello @HenryX

I would never think that you are a silly duffer.

I love the fact that you try to put my rambling into an orderly form whereby I might look at it from a different perspective.

I thank you so very much for all of the times that you have supported me in this way.

I am still concerned as I have been moderated twice within a few days and this does concern me.

I am going to take this conversation elsewhere as this is a get it out and walk away no response.

Not diminishing your help in the least.

I have done the same myself in the past; automatically offered help to the particular post on here.

Hi @Eve7,

I can relate to what you're saying and how you're feeling, I've been there and it's a difficult place to be. I really believe that things will get better and while its sometimes a long journey, its a very worthwhile one. It also takes a lot of strength to reach out on the forums and express how you're feeling. When I have felt like how you're feeling at the moment, I try and do 3 things to make me feel a little better - they dont have to be big, one I like to do is go and sit in the sun for 10 minutes. Maybe give this a go if you can.

Take care, CalmingNature

After cancelling x4 the electrician finally turned up today, calling me away from a rare friend reunion. But, after he took the one existing smoke detector off, he grumbled and announced he "didn't have the correct equipment to finish the job today" and that his boss will ring tomorrow to reschedule 🙁 And then, I didn't realise 'till later, he left with the only smoke detector I had here 😒 Honestly! - this is not rocket science. I went up and purchased a Bunnings smoke detector for now, 'cause God knows how many times they'll cancel before its fixed (or if i'll let myself get stuffed around a moment longer). How rediculous! Only a month ago I renewed my lease agreeing to be responsible for changing the batteries. Doesn't make any sense. Need a patience booster lol

My headache has come back and I'm clenching my jaw. I don't know how long I have been clenching my jaw for, maybe all evening, but I have only just become aware of it. I don't know why I'm clenching my jaw. I wonder if the jaw clenching is causing the headache.

Hello @Arizona

Reading about clenching your jaw. It sounds to me as though you are possibly experiencing some level of tension and associated anxiety. This may be the reason for both your headache and jaw-clenching. I would recommend that you practise some relaxing exercise that you are aware of.

If you are not aware of or have not used relaxing or tension release exercises, I think that it would be good to research them and select something that feels comfortable for you to work with.

With Best Wishes
