Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Dark and deep and vile thoughts again....best not read...will not help you in anyway...

Hello worry room....

It is my turn....

I usually hide away on a thread that I started in a different section of the lived experience forum...

I am confused and concerned.

I read a response on a thread where I had previously written that was about feeling unsettled with repetitive standard advice given out on forums...

I immediately jumped to conclusion...must be talking about me.....

why do I do that?

There are thousands of responses on other threads that might be the issue...

yes I agree there are often the same words, phrases given leaving a feeling of being just another number...

not valued or understood ...purely a symbol to placate the ego of the writer of repetition...

Then on another thread where I responded...A moderator was supporting the thread...

This means that I am being observed for fear of upsetting yet someone else...

Do I hurt that many people?

Are my in depth responses so triggering and unhelpful...that I need to be moderated?

Here I am hoping to reassure someone else to stay....

Now I feel that it is me who needs to leave...

The domino effect......

There is so much more ick that I have cut out...

how can I hurt people whom I supported by writing this for them to read.

How will they believe that I am sincere?

Hello @Sophia1

Sophia, there are times when I see that a person with the reference "moderator", just like you and I have references, has supported one, or a number of my posts. If I see the reference to "moderator", included as a "Support"er of a post, I sometimes have the thoughts that you describe, so you are not alone there. On the other hand, then I change the thought to:

"Oh! there must have been a word, that I used, that came up on a screen, to flag for someone to check. Or it was simply a random round of posts to view. Now that they have checked it, they have given me the courtesy of leaving their 'signature', to let me know they've been around".

Now whether I'm correct, in thinking that second thought, or not, it really doesn't matter, because I know of no better reason for the inclusion of the moderator's signature. And if it were not there as a courtesy, I would rather be told straight, rather than by inference. So, I stay with my thought that the inclusion of "Support", by a moderator, was given as a courtesy.

Now I know that you may say:

"Oh! what a silly duffer I am, jumping to conclusions like that".

However, it is a pity that the question even arises, because there has been no note added to signify the reason for the inclusion of support, by the person who is a moderator. But, purely on that basis, I hope that whenever you see the inclusion of support by a moderator, that you will in future, always view it as a courtesy, being extended your way, in the absence of any other information to the contrary.

With My Very Best Wishes

@HenryX

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Oh my God, I have just realised that the stupid Disability Advocacy worker was talking about a completely different Royal Commission (into Disability or something or other). I thought she was talking about the Royal Commission into Mental Health but that has already happened. I asked her if she meant the Royal Commission into Mental Health and she said yes. Oh, I'm so glad that I have asked for another worker. She was so self absorbed and completely unaware of my needs, and she got all judgey when I told her that I had driven my car while it was unregistered.

And there I was thinking she was going to help me.

And this makes me realise how f***ed the mental health system is if there's already been a Royal Commission.
