Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

Hi there forumites,

It sounds like so many of us here have experienced recent loss, myself included How we each feel and experience grief and loss is okay and valid, it's as individual as we are. Each of us will feel loss of loved ones, whether that be people or pets, in different ways, and have different ways of coping. We hold space here in the forums for all experiences of loss, and I want to send a loving wish to all those feeling grief and loss here today.

Just a quick reminder that loss is a really personal experience, and it's important we keep in mind and hold space here within the respect guidelines for all of us to feel grief and loss in our own way

Vaccination (1st Dose) at Community Clinic (25 to 30 Km Drive away)-

The round trip took 2 hours – 60 minutes (1 hour) spent waiting in the Vaccination Clinic.

There were over 100 people, waiting in the Clinic – despite the fact that you had to have a Booking.

Quite overwhelming – The sheer number of people, the procedures, etc.

You need to have time to burn (& plenty of energy) – To get Vaccinated this way, at a Community Clinic.

I must have been desperate (or something) – because that was never the plan (100’s of people, Long Ques, 1 hour wait).

I could not Access this Vaccination any other way - After my Vaccination Booking at Local Medical Centre (3Km away) was Cancelled by the Medical Centre, almost a month ago.

Plans ruined.

Opportunities lost - taken away before I ever got them.

Everyone seems to think it all revolves around the C Virus, fear of catching it - Or an Urgent Anxiety-Driven need to get Vaccinated.

No it isn't.

That is very Minor in my Priorities - Compared to Losing 2 Job Offers/ Opportunities in One day.

I am So tired of being "Miss-Quoted", "Labelled" with Rude Labels, Patronised - & having my own ideas "Plagiarised" by other people, who then took all the Credit for an idea that was never theirs....

It's always in the back of my mind that I may just not be real enough as a person. I feel like a faulty plug and play module in this body, unplug me and put in a new model without all the glitches.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

I have barely slept all night. My anxiety is very bad and it's keeping me awake.

Before I go to sleep I usually listen to an audio book. This usually helps me fall asleep. But tonight, although I was falling asleep while I was listening to it, as soon as I turned it off I was wide awake.

So, instead of lying in bed listening to my anxious thoughts, I decided to get up and make myself a cup of tea.

I can feel the anxiety/trauma in my body. It's mostly in my solar plexus. It's like a feeling of terror.

I'm especially grateful for my Pug's company when I feel like this. It's the only thing that makes me feel safe. He is beside me snoring and the rhythmic sound of his breathing is very comforting.

I'm starting to feel a bit calmer after writing this. I will have my breakfast, take my vitamins and do an affirmation in the mirror.

I might do a mindfulness meditation. Sometimes this is helpful when I have anxiety, sometimes not.

Then I will do some "voo" breathing exercises and see if that helps. And I will be especially kind and gentle with myself today.
