Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

@Former-Member. Your prn should help you sleep. Jump into bed & pull the sheet up.
Close yourself in your bed where you are safe. Your bed will be comfortable.
You will be supported.
You will slow down your breathing.
And you will fall asleep.
Tomorrow is a new day.
Tomorrow is a better day.
Sweet dreams. ♥♥♥

I think you get my position @Faith-and-Hope

I used to be so angry at all the random nastinesses I accumulated in life that I said to myself (in my mind) "I would do it when my TAXES were done and my OVEN clean". My taxes are done .. and there is still a hole in the kitchen where it ought to be. It has paid for 6 months ago but not installed, due to a technicality.

Last night to triage, I added my will as an additional job to be completed. Due to ex/step .. it is seen as non-standard .. Yes and leave a nice house and pretty extended garden .. minimal mortgage and communal grief garden .. and be done with it all .. it actually takes a lot of rage to think like that for 20 years.

It just takes too long for me to get my needs met .. and I think my English is adequate .. so the problem is ..??

One lady from choir promised to "keep in touch" ..

Anyway without will done and oven in, I am safe .. gotta get son through next 9 months and then I have the right to withdraw and care for me as prioirity.

Boys in the corporate room jibes re death & taxes .. obviously gave me the pip...

I hear you @Appleblossom ....

I have withdrawn a lot from the parenting role, which results in looser reigns over the house in general, because my family are all old enough to be picking up the slack, and I expect them to .... knowing it will take time for them all to get their act together and be more grown up about our communal relationships. Have been referred to as selfish and lazy as a result, but that was always going to be the case with MIL in my life, and her boys raised under the "girls are trouble" mentality ....,

Have to keep my big girl pants pulled up and ignore all that as much as all the WH regimen crap and DIL issues .... but it means our self-care priority still tends to go to the back end of everything else ....

You have achieved volumes @Appleblissom .... quietly building away in the background of everything else you have had to juggle .... so well done !! I guess that is my artwork for me .... it's something nobody can take from me, even if the canvases themselves were removed .... it's something I have built inside me ....

Keep safe @Appleblossom .... keep finding ways to leak the rage out into other projects .... so the withdraw and care for self as priority has less rage in it by then ....

Hugs n hugs .... you are precious ....❣

There is too much in my head. I worry because I know I'm going to lose it soon and SH.....there are only so many times you can play Russian roulette and live. It is consuming me......the thoughts are randomly coming 24/7 without being in distress anymore.....just like wanting a cup of coffee or feeling hungry. I worry because I'm not made for this world...I don't belong.

Oh, @Former-Member, no, that is so not true.
I totally relate to the SH feelings, they've been hammering me all day too.
I cannot describe how valuable and wanted and needed you are. Truely, you are invaluable on this site and your care and empathy for other members is huge. I have to confess I think of you as my 'sane mum' because you are always there for me.
You know all the things to do when you feel like SH - have a burning hot shower or freezing cold one, watch a movie, grounding etc. But if you do SH, can you think of a minimally destructive way? Or use the ice technique? Sorry if I'm saying stuff you've heard a thousand times.

Thanks @Former-Member,

I think your a pretty amazing person, it's easy to be here for you.💜🤗 Although at the moment I admit that Ive been very self absorbed which I hate.

yeah I do know the things to do re SH but I'm surprising myself at how often they are with me lately.

I can't remember when you were going back to work. Are your SH thoughts related to that? I'm so sorry you are going through it too.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

I go back to work next week.
No, the SH is related to the depression and it's one of the reasons I was in hospital. But I'm lucky that they go away when the depression does and it's the first time in a few years I've felt this way.
I get SI and the SH urges come along with that. As well as some what I've been told are delusional thoughts. But they are totally real when I'm having them.
I probably shouldn't post this, but I find all the distraction techniques as useful as a punch in the face when the urges are very strong. Ice helps, but all it does is take the edge off. prn helps a bit.

PS when I post on here I'm not really looking for a response. Sometimes it just helps to post and I don't need responses, it seems to give some relief to get it out and walk away.

I'm sorry, I didn't realise which thread I was on.... it came through on my e mail and I was just concerned. I totally get needing to get it all out.
