Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

One week left before my job becomes redundant...things are surreal, been doing alot of reading, sitting in the library researching and thinking, walking and doing more thinking. Weird all this thinking and sitting and not being busy...but what's the rush?. Everything will fall into place. Been listening to lots of different sorts of music. Seems my head is in one place as the world goes by...and I'm not part of it.

Dealing with people is a big problem. I've noticed with all the people I've been dealing with. It's the same old stuff happening, day after day.

People have needs and wants. And I think the individual is solely responsible and focused around what they need and want for themselves. And every individual person has different ideas about their own needs and wants.

People and relationships are probably the most important aspect of any bodies wellbeing. Because without them, we'd most likely die, and wouldn't do real well at all...

It's complicated, it really is...

Been doing alot of rocking and random swearing in my head the last couple of days as the hours and minutes tick down towards my last day at the place I've been employed for 18 and a bit years. Kind of like soothing myself but not soothing myself..want to pace or just do stuff mindlessly...anxious yet looking forward to the change. Trying to keep the negative thoughts from taking over in my head. I'm looking forward to getting some part-time work, which I'm feeling positive about, and am trying to avoid negative people. I still can't stop smiling though at work....I'm in a good place, and my head's been in for the best space its been for the past 3 or 4 years. Not long now.

I think the cold and flu medication I've been taking is playing havoc with my medication...but I really do think that I'm getting over this bug.

Last day at work today. Yesterday and last night were really anxious times for me...I just had to buy a few small soft toys to carry in my bag as I had some things to do after work and I needed some soft and cuddly things to touch and stroke. I have been wide awake for ages this week...not getting much rest at all. Didn't realise how stressed I was yesterday....Andrew sent me four encouraging texts throughout the night, which was just what I needed. We miss each other so much and don't see each other as much as we used to because he works three nights a week and tries to catch up on his sleep during the day. It won't be like this forever. When I left work today after many farewells I headed straight home and had a long soak in the tub. I juat want to snuggle into bed and sleep for hours.....everything will be alright.

it's been a shit day and i just want to lash out at my kids and make myself invisible.

I've still had no success at finding a house for rent and I've applied for over 12 houses.

I can't have a nice soak in a bath cause This one is one of the oldern housing trust and the bath is small where you can only just sit in it.

I've just had enough of everything, no bedroom of my own im sleeping with my youngest son or on the lounge.

10 weeks of anti psychotic oral medication had me sleeping, relaxing and lazing around all over the place. It was good in the sense that I could finally be at peace and at ease... But it didn't do much for the active side of life... I was kind of thinking oh well... I have no life to get on with anyway... I have no reason to be active...

I took the advice of nurse and support worker and stopped oral meds... Day two is going fine...

Just found out that my eldest son has got himself in trouble again with the police because of his driving, he has High Functioning Autism and always thinks hes fine, you can't reason with him, cant have an ordinary talk with him and always gets himsef in trouble with everyone.I worry now that he could end up in gaol.

He's 25 and i feel guilty for not getting the correct diagnosis when he was younger and blame myself for not getting the proper help he needed when he was younger. If i had off then things might have turned out better for him, having the social skills and living skills.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

I'm sick of the amnesia, constantly forgetting things, losing things. I'm sick of being treated like a dumb blonde because I forget my phone is in my hand and drop it so often that I have to buy a new one, over and over. People acting like I could do something about it if I tried. Everyone tries to give me advice, like "Write yourself notes." Well, I lose the notes, or don't remember to look at them. "Put your phone in your pocket." Well, I wash the pants because it simply does not occur to me to look in the pockets EVER (ha!) and there goes another $45 (thank the stars for pay-as-you-go phones). How do you make yourself remember something you can't remember? I don't blame people for not understanding, and my boyfriend just does it for me so sweetly (he's an angel), but it's frustrating some days.

For every year I live a past year dissipates into the mists of non-existence, a grey void swallowing time up. People asking me "Remember when..." and no, I don't. You'd think my family would get that by now. I don't remember. But it's such a societal need, memories. I'm an alien for living without them. It hurts to see the looks on their faces because it's like I wasn't even there. I'm removing myself from their memories.

Being here brings all that back. It's been a year now since I stopped talking to my mom, and I'm exhausted from the guilt of that decision, and fear of seeing her around town and all the emotions it would drag out of me yet again, and the worry that no one will be there when she starves herself to death or cries cause she doesn't understand why everyone has gone away. I like to act as if my mom doesn't exist, and when no mention of her or sighting of her happens for long enough I feel like I'm okay. But then one thing, finding a birthday card she sent me years ago in old papers I'm going through, can destroy me for days, weeks, cause me to become her and attempt to destroy my own life and those I love.

There's all these carers here that have chosen to stick it out even when it destroys their life, and it makes me feel selfish for leaving. How do you manage, dears? When your life is put on hold and you hate every moment of it? Am I weak for not doing that? Am I selfish? When I'm around her I'm sick. I start hearing voices again. I start hating myself even more (if that's possible). I start having hallucinations and delusions more often. I smoke, I eat too much. When does someone else's life take precedence over my own? If she does something to hurt herself and dies, is that my fault? Her life is a living hell. Would she be happier if she didn't have to do it anymore?

My Dad was. He was Asperger's, and he died last year, and it was the best thing that ever happened to him (in his own words before he died). "Sorry girls, I just can't do it anymore" he said when they offered to shock his heart one more time. And we, secretly, breathed a sigh of relief. And felt like monsters for it.

But as atrociously un-compassionate as he could be, he loved me. Mom can't, but she says she does and tries to make us believe it if we only obeyed Godd like she does. And now I feel utterly alone with her even though they had nothing to do with each other for years and I couldn't even talk about her without him railing about what a horrible person she is.

She's like this black hole on the other side of town, ever-present, that soaks up any joy of anyone that even thinks about her, no matter how far away they are or how long it's been since they've seen her face. I see how my little sister, who refuses to live in the same state as her, is constantly falling apart with Alice In Wonderland Syndrome and super anxiety, how she holds herself away from family that can help her and doesn't even realize it's self-harm just like she was taught. She can't have a normal life because of what mom did to her. My twin sister ran away to be a nun. My brother is in prison.

It makes me hate that alter that did that to us, The Fanatic/The Martyr, but not my mom. Why do some alters hurt the one that gives them physical life? What could be the purpose of that, when my First Mother, the real mom, is such a loving and caring person with so much to give? I thought that they appeared in order to help shelter someone that couldn't handle what was happening. But no one even knows anything about it. Most people barely even know what DID is.

At this point, if she somehow could see her mental illness and know what it's done to all of us, would it be too much? It is just too late for her to ever change? Could she someday be like you guys with DID, actually working on having good days?

I'm so proud of every one of you. You've accomplished the impossible even coming to terms with a situation that you had no control over. Especially Anonymous. Those tales of how he/she deals with the amnesia and the tricks employed are heroic. I want that for my mom.

Wow. I can't say these things to anyone. Releasing it is amazing. ❤️
