Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

I hate being this needy selfish person. I never used to be like this. I hate feeling invalidated. I hate what I do to myself. I hate me.

Please no replies

I'm not coping at all any more. I think I've actually burnt out.

We're selling stuff we're not using, so we can have some extra cash, and less stuff to move to our new place. I bought comedy tickets a few weeks ago for my partner's birthday, and he wants me to sell them so we can get the money. But he still wants a present.

I had bought a ticket for an event on Saturday for myself, and when we had the money I got the special ticket. But now I've had to make the decision to try and get a refund for it. It was over $300, and pretty much a once in a lifetime opportunity. But having enough money to live on is more important. But I'm gutted.

I'm reaching a point where I just want to end it all. The only thing that I focus on is what will happen to my cats. They are only really connected to me, and I know my partner wouldn't keep them if I left this world.

It feels like I'm sinking, and there's nothing for me to grab on to.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Hi everyone,

This is just a reminder that the purpose of this thread is unlike any other - it's a place you can write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

The main point of difference between this thread and others is that no responses of support are required.

If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they have posted here because they don't want a response. I know this can be hard, because you want to show someone how much you care and show your support, but the best form of support you can show here is by 'Liking' their post.

In this thread 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' that someone is going through a bad time, but you support them in letting it out.

I have added a 'No responses please' to the title of this thread, so there's an ongoing reminder of what this thread is for

Thanks to everyone who provided feedback about this thread. If you have any questions, please drop us an email - team@saneforums.org

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

I've had so much negative stuff happen in my life. It has robbed me of my chance to lead a normal life. And I can't help but dwell on all of it from time to time. There's several too a dozen to scores of incidences which haunt me over and over again. And I'm trying to use positive thinking tricks which help me move on from the bouts of guilt, shame and negative thinking cycles rather than dwelling on them and letting it destroy my day. It don't seem fair that I'm the one who winds up with a diagnosis and stuck on medication. Because so many others were involved in my illness developing and forming into what it is.

I'm especially annoyed because the life I want to be living. Is just not happening and I attribute that and blame the medication for it. But nothing is getting done about it from the professional side of the story. The medication had destroyed my body and it's probably done the same to my mind. And all the professionals can say is. You're stable and well-managed. It's truly heartbreaking.

If anyone should know what's wrong and why it became this way for myself it should be myself. And if anyone should know how to fix it and make it right it should be myself. So when it comes to dealing with professionals and their textbook problem with a textbook solution. It becomes incredibly frustrating.

They're not there to deal with normal people and normal problems. They are there to deal with patients who are medicated. And who are trying to live up to the systems expectations of what is classified as behaviour that promotes wellness. It's a joke. The true problem just gets brushed under the rug. And everyone who has contributed to myself being in this position gets away Scott free.

I'm so annoyed at the system. They're pumping my arm muscles full of nasty pharmaceutical drugs. Which wilt away my two major arms muscles. (distinct factors of being a male broad shoulders) make my breasts larger (not distinct factors of being a male) raise my prolactin levels (female hormone (has made me gain 50kgs) makes me feel fat, slow, lethargic and makes me stress about my image as a man. Takes away my sex drive. Among many other things. And it don't really work that well. Than I'm left to deal with a mental health nurse who is in denial and lies... How am I meant to provide myself with my needs as a male human being when these factors are taken into consideration?..

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Been caring for my chronically ill husband for 15 years ( married to this mean cruel man for 30 years ) as well as working full-time. Five or six weeks ago I cut down to working four days a week. Since my husband was diagnosed with having two untreatable medical issues - and was told he has anywhere between 18 to 24 months to live - his health has deteriorated dramatically and I am constantly exhausted, physically, emotionally and mentally. As well as having mental health issues myself, I think age is catching up with me and I just can't do everything I once was able to. Everything is such a struggle and it is proving difficult sometimes to notice and enjoy some of the simple things in life.

On Friday I was approached by management, who have been aware of my situation at home and know there are times I just need to leave work at the drop of a hat to attend medical appointments with hubby or my own healthcare appointments, and queried if I would be interested in taking a redundancy package if one was offered. Management have been extremely supportive these past few years but the time has come where I cannot commit to regular attendance at work......
