Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

It's just one distraction after the other. There is no rest. I'm due for my next injection in four days and I'm hoping it brings some relief. I've tried everything to get myself right and get myself on track. But it's basically like backtracking on my own regret. I'm only just managing to get through each day and without a major mental breakdown. I'm trying everything I can too help myself. And I'm feeling more overwhelmed with every move I make. I'm feeling like another stay at the institution could only do so much. It's like I'm living in hell. I just don't know how to switch off and rest. I'm taking the meds and trying to have a sleep. Even though I'm tired and fatigued from the side effects. I'm not sure what I really need. Perhaps no one sees what I feel. Perhaps because it's no big deal. Perhaps it's because we all feel bad. I'm under attack. Bye my own inner self. Perhaps I'm in need of relief from the side effects. Perhaps the system is is one big trap. And once they got you. They feed from you. Because they know you need more than ever. Once you're medicated. And living with the side effects. Than they are there to show you all the rules, standards and guidelines. That you'll never be able to live upto. Which you need emotional support for. Because it's just one big heart breaking experience.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

Far too worn down emotionally & physically.

I cannot keep on giving & giving to others & caring - when I live alone, with no social support & no companionship myself.

I cannot contain other people's distress (expressed to me every day) - when I have no outlet of me own, & no one to talk to who will actually listen.

Mum phones me just to offload her anxiety & distress, & talks non-stop for over 1 hour every time - I rarely get a word in.

She is surrounded by (& lives with) people who support her - she has no need to do that, yet has been doing it for 30 years.

I try to maintain healthy boundaries, yet they are not respected, they are trodden on repeatedly.

I say kind words often, yet the response often is harsh, critical & uncaring. There is no recognition or appreciation given.

Will this torment ever end?
How can I ever feel ok after a lifetime of traumas and abuse.
Even in my sleep I dream that someone is after me.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

The pressures of what my daughter is going through is so overwhelming, not coping, but I have to cope.
Triggers are everywhere.
I need help, but no one can help.

Just great.
Would love to sleep forever and can’t even sleep.

Feeling so alone.

It’s all too hard.

No one to talk to.

Just want to disappear.

Memories of being a victim of crime and racism still haunt me. Years after the unprovoked attacks.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

Memories of being a victim of crime and racism still haunt me. Years after the unprovoked attacks. The trauma it caused. Makes me think about it happening again. And makes me think. It is my fault and I deserved it. It's a very scary thing to experience. Reliving the experience again and again was the worst bit. Never really understanding why or what caused it. And than living with the emotional scars for decades afterward. And always having that installed fear of it reoccurring.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

People close to me expect me to be getting better. I am on meds, see a pdoc, see a psych yet why do I feel the same?, why can't I see/feel the difference. They say I need to process my trauma but need to be stable first. What does that even mean? I see my pdoc tomorrow and I don't know what to say. If I tell him this med increase has done nothing then he will change my meds and I don't think I can go through that again. It feels like this MI consumes me every minute of the day. I am so tired trying to deal with it, live with it..... and what for? What is the point anymore?
