Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away: No responses please

Got something that's bugging you?

Want to vent, but don't want a response?

Sometimes our minds can get stuck in circles trying to sort out an issue. This can keep you up at night, or make it hard to focus on other things. I find that putting things away, and not thinking about it temporarily can be helpful.

This is the place to get it out, and then give yourself permission to let it go.

Maybe you will need to get back to it some other time, but this is space where you can put it in a place so that you can leave it for some time and (try) not to worry about it in the mean time.

It's a thread where people don't need to reply, it purely just to get it out your worry and concerns.

If you want to show your support for someone, hit the 'like' button. In this thread, 'like' doesn't mean that you 'like' someone's issue, but you support them in letting it out.

So write down your concerns, put it in a vault, shut the door, and allow yourself to walk away from it.

Pls note: If you are reading other people's posts, please respect that they don't want a response. Show your support by 'Liking' their post.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

How can I live right now in my rented home, that I enjoy, surrounded by the memories & treasures of my extraordinary life yet feel so alone and isolated even when there is another person here? The tears are so close now in the last few days & occasionally they spill over, sliding off my cheeks the way I wish I could slide out of this situation and life sometimes. I feel so hurt, so invalidated, so worthless and stupid. I feel I only have myself to blame because I could and should do so much more. This situation is intolerable, untenable, unfair and unjust. Yet I'm the one being punished. There are no consequences but bitterness and white hot rage. There is not a damn thing I can do as I dug the hole and shall be buried in it.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

My uncle suddenly passed away a few months ago. And he left all his money and assets and estate to the hospital. He lived with his mother for his whole life. Who looked after him the whole time... (did everything for him...) It's a little annoying... Because I hear that the Catholic Church is tied up in the hospitals... One of the richest organizations in the world... (among many other things)

He has left control of his estate in the hands of the public trustee. While my grandmother is still alive. And after that it will be handed over to the hospital...

My grandmother is allowed to stay in the house until she dies. And then the public trustee will hand it over to the hospital... Meanwhile politics are big noting themselves on all upgrades in the hospital system...

It seems to me. That my uncle was in two minds. (which I have also been through. (when severely unwell). A mind of bitterness and resentment toward family. (because of what he's missed out on) . And a mind of looking after the system because of how the system has looked after him. Which as public servants and a good government. And in a country which has wealth for toil. Should be and is... obliged to do anyway... Despite wills and estate's being left to them... The system should have more than enough money considering all the taxes they collect each day... Which support the lively hood of many well looked after workers of the system... Who work in better conditions then the average tax payer and average person... (in many many ways...) And pay highly paid people in a political system... Among many other positions in the system...

It leaves me feeling. Like it could of made all the difference to my future wellbeing and future prospects, ambitions, goals and dreams... And could of helped me escape the mental health system... Ironic hey?

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

Please excuse me while I vent.
Goddamn doctors. How dare you put me on meds and make me gain 40kg then say I have a poor diet and don’t make time for enough exercise. How dare you say my liver is stuffed and I most likely have diabetes. How dare you demand I do your stupid diet. If I wasn’t poor I would chuck in my job which would significantly reduce the stress which would lessen the number of meds I’m on which would reduce my weight. Happy for everyone. But no, we have to do it your way. Rant over.

****** no reply needed, thanks, just getting this out of my system*****

Caught up with Andrew, who I call Lil Bro, who has been in bed with some sort of virus since Sunday. I was concerned about his health and suggested he best go home and get some more rest. I suggested we get him some food to keep him going until he is well enough to get some himself. He asked if I could get him some pasta and sauce and mince so he could have a huge meal before he went back to bed. He thanked me profusely but I just want him to get better.

Anyway, I've got our relationship sorted in my head. I want him to remain in my life so I want him to keep being my brother. And that sits well with me because we care about each other in a special way. We have such a strong emotional connection.

I have my first day off tomorrow and Andrew says he will catch up with me for a few hours in the afternoon. Think I might have a sleep in and a coffee at the shops and just take it slowly. I said to Andrew not to stress if he couldn't catch up. I will give him a call anyway to see how he's doing.

Thanks everyone for listening as I work this all out.

Re: Worry Room - Get it out, and walk away

The more I tried to focus on what I needed to do throughout today - the more overwhelmed I became.

1)Job interview preparations

2)Contacting work, to try to get tomorrow morning off - so that I can attend the interview.

I never managed to focus long enough for anything I read to sink in - it's all gone straight over my head, & I cannot remember anything that I might need to say.

The triggers have been too many, too often, over the past 24 hours.

I collected the car from the Smash Repair place about 5 hours ago - the rest of the day feels like a total wipe-out.

I'm so stressed, I don't know how I will get to sleep tonight.

I cannot seem to get myself to decide or to take action - on what to do tomorrow morning, to get to that interview.
