I feel...

I feel...

I feel desperately lonely yet, I feel like I don't belong anywhere. I don't belong in the 'Normal' world because I am tarred with the brush of mental ill health, yet because I've sort of stabilised now, I don't belong with my former peers either. I feel beige, uncoloured and boring with no emotion really even though if I had to say anything it is gutted. I feel trapped in a world I don't want and didn't ask for, yet whenever I try and break the shackles of failure, I am thrust back into the dark and reminded yet again of my failures (my Father is a constant person to remind me). I feel alone, even in a crowded room. I feel unheard, even if I am screaming loudly.

I guess I am just searching for something and not sure what.

Does anyone else feel beige?

Re: I feel...

It seems it should not be so hard to live with others, but these kind of issues keep appearing in all our lives. Somehow we are all stressed and find it hard to absorb any more. Glad you are having some wins. @Queenie

Re: I feel...

Had a schizoaffective break that i'm recovering from, occured about 5 weeks ago.

On medication and still wake up in the middle of the night hearing the wind and noises, thinking that something is about to go terribly wrong... The feeling of paranoia is the worst. Get some mild residual hallucinations as well.

I just have to sit there and rationalise that its not real, but still the feeling persists. It really sucks.

Hope you're getting better, might be best to stay on the medication for awhile (even with the side effects)

Re: I feel...

Relating to this and various posts read today, gives both hope and much sadness 😕

alone as I don’t want to be an embarrassment from not being able to stop talking, or not being able to talk to anyone.. my past friends and family don’t need more in their life, and the years of absence, I see as best for all. Not 1/100th of who I use to be.. but alive and have my puppies to hang out with.. thanks all for posting your story..

Re: I feel...

@outlander Thank you for the welcome.. 🙂

i was about to do the auto response, yep all good, quickly followed by a return question to deflect from me....

today has a few good things that happened 🙂 yet to be 100% honest,

disapointed in myself for not doing the things or even really a thing I had set my mind to do thought about this all day and some of last night..

angery at myself for being sad, and seemingly useless at the most mediocre of “tasks”,

have so much I should be happy for, NOW. But can’t help but feel empty, numb and .....

well alone doesn’t really apply anymore, it is just life.

My fault in part by choosing to cut the world out to protect them from the “new” me..

saddened by potential opportunities that I know are going to missed, due to my MI.

and one of the weirdest things about those and many more feeling similar. I have accepted this may be just how it is..

dont get me wrong this is not a bad day, and not trying to complain, just thoughts I can not get out of my head.. reliving my saga is just how it is 😕

happy that the soccer and rugby on, that makes me smile.. 🙂 and REALLY happy that I have found this site. I think it may help me a lot over time.

Re: I feel...

Well i am glad you didnt give me a generic response 🙂 @Missmylife im not sure in your story or much about you but if you have a thread id be happy to take a read for you. .

Well.. is there one thing on your list that you could do tonight? Just something simple?

Mental health issues can affect us alot even without realising it. You said reliving the saga- do you have ptsd? Ive ptsd too and often relive the saga too.

Re: I feel...

@outlander Thank you for your offer 🙂 not sure if I can tell my full story, but yep for PTSD, throw in Bi-P prob 1&2, BPD, a form of agoraphobia, anxiety, depression and that is the easy list. All Drs disagree 😞 and so the put into the to hard basket most of the time....

it is is a good idea to do a little thing however it is so cold up here and all the puppies are warm now and asleep I don’t want to wake them by moving around our little place.

Re: I feel...

Thats alright no need to tell full story @Missmylife most who come tell abit about themselves like diagnosis or whats happening for them as an intro.
I have bpd/anxiety/depression/ptsd.
Feel free to start a thread of your own too so we can support you too

I get being put into the to hard basket. Not a great feeling but just have to keep pushing on.
Well theres always tomorrow to do a few things
