I feel...

I feel...

I feel desperately lonely yet, I feel like I don't belong anywhere. I don't belong in the 'Normal' world because I am tarred with the brush of mental ill health, yet because I've sort of stabilised now, I don't belong with my former peers either. I feel beige, uncoloured and boring with no emotion really even though if I had to say anything it is gutted. I feel trapped in a world I don't want and didn't ask for, yet whenever I try and break the shackles of failure, I am thrust back into the dark and reminded yet again of my failures (my Father is a constant person to remind me). I feel alone, even in a crowded room. I feel unheard, even if I am screaming loudly.

I guess I am just searching for something and not sure what.

Does anyone else feel beige?

Re: I feel...

@Queenieno need to apologise for not posting. You need to look after yourself first and that is fine. Perhaps the psychologist might just help to get some things out. I know there have been times where I feel better just talking to my psychologist and getting heard and justification.

I hope it goes well for you.

Thanks @Snowie. I am hoping to start therapy either this week or next week.

Re: I feel...

My Father just called me before from an unknown number. He was on the line less than five minutes but in that short time, he just made me feel so awful. I didn't know it was him otherwise I wouldn't have answered the phone. Now I just feel terrible. 😞

Re: I feel...

To add insult to injury, I was contacted today on yet another number (all previously known numbers have been blocked) by my narcissistic ex-partner. This has raised my anxiety levels through the roof. Luckily I have my Mrs who knows there was no way I could've known it was her and is supporting me. I told her she had the wrong number and hung up and blocked her.

This has just triggered off all those yucky feelings I had when this person would use my own words against me and would carry on in a very passive-aggressive way. Because of her, I was put in all sorts of negative situations (including domestic violence and homelessness).

I feel like I need to keep looking over my shoulder right now.

Re: I feel...

I guess one positive thing has come out of her contacting me... to distract myself from these yucky anxious feelings, I got in and pulled out a mammoth study session and now have caught up on my assessments (except for the current unit). Not sure that I have the correct answers, but hey, at least I could get an A+ for effort (if only). I started studying at 8:15am this morning and have only now closed the learning portal for college. Not too shabby I guess... time for sleep now! G'night forumites!

Re: I feel...

@outlander @Eden1919 @Snowie and everyone... I passed my assessments! I just logged into the learning portal now and discovered green boxes which mean they are complete and passed. Distraction techniques can sometimes be a good thing!
