Mr.f&h has maaaajor problems with chocolate ...... it’s the clearest indication that he is unwell, but also the most hidden symptom. Just the smell of chocolate now can turn my stomach, but it’s a situational emotional connection. If I open drawers or cupboards and get hit by a wave of chocolate smell I don’t cope very well, or when it is on his breath ...... who knew it could have the same affect as cigarette smoke ??
So that has put me off buying it, but I can still drink a hot chocolate, and take a chocolate if it’s offered by someone .....

It can be a problem and bad habit I'm better off buying a bar than a block @Faith-and-Hope,and not having it in the house

@Former-Member My daughter loves ice cream and would eat tons of it during the summer but I accidently stopped that. I had to buy a new fridge and bought a relatively cheap one online. I was very proud of myself the guys delivered it and took the old one away.
When I opened it I realised it has no freezer!!!!!!! so no icecreams for my daughter unless she has to walk down the road in the head to get them

Thats interesting @Faith-and-Hope i havent had that reaction with many foods but theres a few smells i cant handle so get where your coming from

I prefer to not keep it in the house @Former-Member. I called it “party food” when the kids were growing up to try to keep the association with celebrating, rather than it being an everyday food .... but mr.f&h’s issue is not the stuff itself I think. That’s for a therapist to work out, but so far none of our kids have developed that addiction / association ..... so I am pleased about that much. It hasn’t carried forward.

You have no freezer @Bunniekins,I couldn't live without one,freezer water,ice for the cats past few days,make pumpkin soup and freeze in winter etc. @Faith-and-Hope,had a neighbour who hoarded chocolate,every cupboard every kind,she got attention from it and she was extremely hard to tolerate,high in sugar.Saw my uncle once pour his grandkids so we're only toddlers coca cola,could see the change immediately.
I felt good before Xmas,have to try and deal with myself .Going for my walk in a hr or so I hope.
@Former-Member,hope your appointment brings you some relief.

@Former-Member Yes well you live and you learn I thought all fridges had freezers in them but there you go ... it is not so bad I can work my way around it and as I say it has been good for my daughter because it has cut down her icream consumption and frosty fruit consumption to nil.
Too hot here for a walk sadly @Faith-and-Hope@Former-Member. I really miss winter.
