It’s a European cultural practice to offer “goods” when you would like to offer emotional support to someone but don’t know how / it’s not appropriate to the relationship @Former-Member .....
There is a lot of “displaced” emotion in our situation.
It’s lovely in that the intent to support is there, but it can swamp the receiver emotionally too, which is what you seem to have experienced. One answer to it is to “re-gift” the goods elsewhere, or in the case of chocolate I will repurpose it ...., melt it down and dip fruit in it. At least that way it can last a long time and you fill up on high fibre fruit along with it. The Frangelico could go to someone else, sometime, as a thank you.gift.

@Bunniekins, used to be size 26,in my early twenties and teens,the fashion now is lot more better,I'm tall too,but it does affect you,hormones,blood pressure etc.
River9 respect you to remove my posts on eat to SH,the only one I think I harmed was myself,probably made others feel less isolated in their own struggles I hope.If I triggered someone to have morning tea I do apologise. Lol

The biscuits will be regifted and the frangelico which is used in hot chocolate may be regifted if I know someone who uses it.He is a nice neighbor,just gifts is a hard thing,and it was too generous where it was uncomfortable when you are handing over one thing.

You are right @Former-Member - I'm sure this discussion with @Bunniekins and @Faith-and-Hope will help make others feel less isolated in their own struggles. I just wanted to flag that we have guidelines around mentioning specific methods of SH. I know that the 'method' discussed here isn't as graphic and therefore triggering for others, but I just thought I would flag it to be mindful of 🙂

I'd rather not have it in the house either @Bunniekins my mother buys crap and I eat it when I'm stressed.In my head I'm giving up myself...that's the problem.
