@Faith-and-Hope - well, you do live in the same city for a little bit longer, so I could courier him over to you for a few hours!

Hi @Sans911,

Havent slept, did something stupid, rang a helpline, have to leave to see psych soon. It is only night 1. I got another 11 like this. Dog even gave up on me. Super sucks right now.

I understood what you meant!

I am glad only a smoochy cat kept you awake and nothing else.

@Former-Member Umm, how is ringing a helpline stupid??

I hope your session goes ok this morning. Maybe see if there are any strategies to help you get through this time without your husband.

Re: RE: Darkness surrounds me

@Former-Member - I don't see SH as stupid. It's not an ideal coping strategy, but sometimes in the moment, it's all we have to relieve the pressure valve of intense pain and discomfort that we're feeling.

Don't be so hard on yourself sweetheart. You're trying to cope without your main support person, and that's really challenging. When my foster sister went on holidays overseas last year, my SH increased even before she left this country.

Acknowledge to yourself that this is a difficult time, that you're doing the best you can for now. Be a little gentle on yourself. Hugs and hugs my sweet angel. 💙💜💙💜💙💜💙💜💙💜💙💜💙💜💙💜💙💜

Re: RE: Darkness surrounds me

@Former-Member Hi Li1 yes I can see how you feel trapped with no escape but what about study while you are looking after your mum. Can you get some qualifications to get a job and get out of this never ending cycle. It is very hard I know personally as I am the primary carer of my son but have been too unwell to do much else (although I feel this is changing for me ever so slowly). I figure get well first then study maybe you need to do the opposite do the study first as a way of escaping and gaining some freedom and a life for yourself.

So sorry the neighbour brought over the chocolate ... what goes through people's heads sometimes ... next time try and throw them right into the rubbish bin outside in front of the neighbour. That should solve that problem of ever reacurring again. You are right it is SH which is why you shouldn't put up with people sabortaging your efforts to slim down and get fitter.

Re: RE: Darkness surrounds me

Thanks @Bunniekins,part comfort eating but part sh as well The neighbour brought 1 bag each for us!it was embarrassing as I spent 25 dollars on nuts which I thought may had been too much.@greenpea he gave us over 100 dollars worth of stuff which is quite uncomfortable. One thing was a bottle of frangelico,a hazelnut liquor which I googled was 35-45 a bottle, don't drink alcohol, shower gel, tin of biscuits which we give away two tins,2 tins of chocolates,it was too much and embarrassing. Nice but too much.
Do want to do cert iv in mental health, can't afford it at the moment, hope to in March.
Go for a walk later @Bunniekins,just feeling down today,my frustration yesterday stressed me.

Re: RE: Darkness surrounds me

@Former-Member Wow that is alot for him to spend. He obviously cares for you and your mum alot. Very thoughtful but does he know you are trying to gain control over these urges... My daughter is size 26 and since I have given up the chocolate bickies she is eating a bit more responsibly. She is lucky because she is tall but none the less it is taking a toll on her back which she says hurts etc.

Great to hear about the cert iv in mental health that sounds like a great idea. I might look into myself lol ... 😛
