I thought you were from the country @Former-Member. I lived there for 10 beautiful years on a farm and yes, "I so miss the space", miss the peace and miss the warm community. I could feel your country warmth through the screen. My best friends today I made whilst living in the country. We were friends with almost everyone and we all looked out for each her. People would wave to me from their car and would mostly always have time to talk. I was never on my own - they would all either visit or ask me to stay at their homes when my hubby went into hospital etc to make sure I was okay. I so miss them and that way of life.

It is beautiful where we are now on the coast but it is so, so hard to meet people and make friends. Nothing like the warmth of country living. Where in the country it was easy to become a part of the community if one chooses. I do feel a bit alone here. My best friend is the one whose husband has terminal cancer, so I don't expect her to be there for me - I am there for her. I miss her on outings...I made a few friends through my volunteer work and connect with people there in a positive way, so I do enjoy that.

We had to move up here to be closer to medical specialists for hubby as his health grew weaker, and also could not keep up with the maintenance of the farm but have so many good memories. There was also a big mining company that moved in that drove us out (they bought us out after a legal battle). I miss having space around me everyday. To have acres near the sea here is rare and then it costs many millions. I would gladly do it if I won lotto.

Night 1 and already my thoughts and anxiety are not good. I know I have to get through somehow, I just don't know if I can....I hate this already
