Gee @Sans911 I know you are a nurse but are you sure you were not a counsellor in the past. Your words always have such a deep understanding and such wisdom behind them.
I have heard of the Blue Knot Society and I know there is also a mens line, so I might give him the numbers to both of those organisations. I am going to suggest that he talk to someone if need be also.
Like you, I don't think I will ever tell anyone, in my psych, exaclty what happened to me. I remember most things, at times down to what I was wearing (sorry if that is too much for you).
I am not sure if telling anyone the exact details will ever help me and like you I don't think I ever will.

I have disclosed my story either. I never will. Ive told it in here what i am comfortable with but never will i tell anyone thr story. I told a gp only meantioned it because i was worried about stds but after that i said nothing more and and despite her truing to poke it out of me i wont say more and ended up changing gps because of it.
Like you and others i dont think pouring my heart out into all those details will help me but in saying that it helps others so only do what your comfortable with ❤❤

@outlanderi haven't spoken to the Blue Knot society before, only the 1800Respect number and they were pretty good.
I think you are right with people saying what they are comfortable with. I guess I am also mindful that I don't want to trigger anyone else on her either as I am sure CSA is an extremely delicate topic in forum world.

I have only spoken to them via email but they have heaps of info just on their site too @Former-Member that would help you as well as your hubby
If you want to talk about csa in more details or tell parts of tour story you can put trigger warning at the top of the post in big bold letters or at the top where the thread name is you could change it to have *trigger warning* its like read at own risk sort of thing

Thanks @outlander i will look at their website tomorrow.
I did stat a thread awhile ago that was about CSA and GUILT and did put a TRIGGER WARNING up the top of that. Not that I went into detail about what happened to me, but more exploring why so much guilt is associated with CSA.

@Former-Member thanks sweetheart for your kind words. My poor nursing ego is very battered, so your words are like a soothing balm. I actually have been told at some point I should consider mental health nursing, but I don't know what I want to do right now but try to find reasons to live.
I've been told by professionals before it's not exactly the details that are important, and your mind blocks a lot anyway, but it's learning to forgive yourself, especially the little girl you were that was so hurt. It's also learning to say to that child you are loved and you are forgiven.
