Things will get better @MDT. I know it's difficult to believe right now but they will.

Good morning @MDT - so happy that you found value in the pysch appt. That's a pretty big realisation the bit about not having to be happy all the time. If we were, I don't think we would be appreciative of what we do have. It's like having your favourite food everyday. after a while, it isn't special anymore.
It's okay to have an off day. I get that the future can be daunting. Getting a grad offer for next year isn't the be all. My daughter's boyfriend missed out and was bitterly disapppointed. But he got a job (not one he was particularly excited about) and then busted his guts applying for the following year. His one year's work experience held him in good stead and now he is part of that grad program he so much wanted.
Depression is an exhausting situation. Thinking all those neagtive thoughts saps the energy out of you.
You are an intelligent person and know what you need to do - now there's the actual implementation as you mentioned.
Hope that today is a good one for you and the next and the next.

Thanks @soul
It is very exhausting yes...
I made a phonecall for a job offer i got my dad to help me with so hopefully something comes of this.. i was nervous as just before but i thought i just have to do it anyway and then i did it... it was only to book in an appointment for an interview but that's how anxiety works.. so i just went ahead and did it before i procrastinated
Mum tells me i have a good phone manner, but i dunno.. i guess i might.. that's why i was annoyed about the job at uni but that's in the past now..
Something so small like that really shouldn't be an issue, but i think it becomes one when i tell myself it shouldn't be... it's like a self fulfilling prophesy.. but anyway it's done now so that's okay
need to focus on the rest of the day now
i have reading to do for uni so i am thinking of going down to a cafe a few streets away and just setting up there.. might sit outside because it is a nice day..
point is i need to take it easy today.. might do some research this afternoon for internships and grad offers..
depression and anxiety forces me to be economical.. spending energy on the things that i need to do is more important..
