i like to use my harddrive rather then the cloud lol so i dont normally have to many issues except finding what im looking for!

That would be sensible, except my old computer was too ancient (22 years old) to recognise the separate little hard drive backup-thingy that my technological friend recommended I get. So I had no choice but to save to the cloud. It's my own fault for letting the computer get too old...a lesson learnt.

Are you watching something on your laptop this morning? @outlander

I hope it won't be a big drama, @outlander and that I can recover these documents. I have to see a lawyer on Friday so I need them.

It's a desktop, the new computer. I'll back up everything on the external hard drive thingy once I can get the documents sorted out.

Does the TV help to distract you from your bad thoughts and your physical pain?

i really hope youll get the documents you need! @NatureLover

yeah the tv can be helpful sometimes. it gets rather boring watching the same things over and over though. i brought a new tv series but it only has 3 seasons which ive now finished so might have to look for something else now. it also depends on how much pain im in too. it can make it hard to be comfortable or sit still to watch tv if its bad.

Thanks 🙂

Yeah, I bet it would depend on how bad the pain is @outlander 😞

I hope you can find a good TV series that has more than 3 seasons...it'd be worth it for distraction value. Are they expensive?

In response to: Re: not coping

Re: not coping

they can be expensive @NatureLover depends on what the tv show is i guess.

do you have any fave tv shows or movies?

I guess your finances are low at the moment, what with the gastroscopy and buying your horse back... @outlander

I was actually brought up without TV, which sucked as a kid trying to relate to other kids. But nowadays I don't have a TV either - I can't handle the noise or the loud ads or the conflict. I put myself inside everything I watch, TV or movies, so it all has a big impact on me and I get thrown out of whack and can't retain my peace. Does that sound odd? I guess it is, really, but it's still better for me that way.

Re: not coping

finances are often low @NatureLover but yes with buying the horse and the procedure/hospital fees and other expenses atm its a little tougher.

no that doesnt sound strange. i have to watch what is on the tv too. i get triggerred by random things and i cant handle the news etc much either. i tend to just put a movie or tv show on that i like or know that is 'safe' i have news fb pages on my phone so im generally updated on what is important though sometimes i turn them off as well so i dont see it so much.
i honestly wasnt brought up with alot of tv either, i chose not to watch it. i was to busy with school, or the horses (some days on a weekend we would be up and out the door by 4am and not home till around 630 so dinner shower and basically bed by that time) and i was doing dance during school so there was often after school practice and some night time performances so i honestly wasnt interested in tv that much.

I'm glad it doesn't sound strange. Yes, I can't watch the news at all, I can read it though.

Oh gosh, @outlander , yes, I can imagine you spending every minute with your horses...that's a long day!

i know lots of members here can relate to you not being able to watch tv as well @NatureLover

yeah back then though it wasnt a job or a chore. it was my hobby and one that i really loved so it didnt feel like a huge amount of work. i mean i got tired and everything but it was a good tired not the 'i just want to go home' tired.
