Re: not coping

Going OK thanks, it's been a fairly good day @outlander

Will it be a day surgery, and does it require recovery time? I know you will say you can't be spared from your responsibilities, but I was wondering, if the surgeon says you must rest for however long, would your mother and pop accept that?

Re: not coping

its only a day procedure @NatureLover but i wont do much the next day either. its being done on a friday so saturday is usually an easy going day anyway. i honestly dont know much else except for a date. i wont know much else until the day before when i ring them to find out what time to come in etc. i only know the fasting instructions. im not overly sure if i cant drive on saturday either, i think its suppose to be 24hrs of no driving.

Re: not coping

Really good news for you @outlander. Something getting sorted at last, and not too long to wait.

As I suspected, I got a from call from the counselling service and they have rejected my request for help because I refused contact with my mh team and they consider me too unstable & high risk.

Because they are a government agency they have full access to my case notes so I can't hide anything from them.

I told them without any assistance my risk might escalate, and I don't feel comfortable discussing the situation with my new case manager/mh nurse or pdoc. I reassured them that I am the most stable I have been in years. I ended up giving consent to contact my mh team, so they will do that and let me know if I can access the counselling. I don't think they will, and will likely hand ball me back to my mh team. If that happens, I still won't discuss with them as it's too uncomfortable & they're not trauma informed.

I did have a lengthy phone call with my sister which helped a little. She is the family peacekeeper so she takes no sides.

Evening @Snowie @NatureLover

Re: not coping

saturday and sunday are usually ok @NatureLover its mostly just the horses but not the huge amount. the weekdays are usually the busier ones. and mum is generally off work or shes only gone for a few hours so its not to overwhelming either. i will just make sure i dont add anything else onto my schedules etc from now.
