Re: not coping

Hi @outlander, I hope you feel better 💖. I feel a migraine coming on for me too. They get on your nerves, literally 😢. I think mine are related to POTS since I’ve been having bouts when I would stand and things would get dark. I haven’t fainted, thankfully. I tried to clean a bit, but I’m sick again. Cleaning seems to make me sick, probably too much bending around

Re: not coping

im not having an overly good time of things at the moment. my new support worker feels im to much and has cancelled all support services now. i always ruin things. every single time.

@Appleblossom i am still fond of you too and often think of you

@creative_writer POTS is also one of my medical conditions. it does make things hard anc contributes a major amount to my fatigue levels.

@Snowie i really hope your having a good time away

thinking of you also @Eve7 @Bow and all who may be passing through too

thank you also @Bow for the suggestion, im to scared to get that piercing lol but if it keeps going it may be an option to try!

Re: not coping

I'm sorry to hear this @outlander that things are so hard and the support worker has cancelled all the appointments. Rather than you being the issue, I'm wondering if they are just not experienced enough? I'm not sure it's a reflection of your necessarily. I work with someone who often has support workers come in. And their workers always chop, change and cancel! It's so frustrating for them because without a support worker, they can't get out of bed, they can't eat, they can't move!

I'll be around here if you need a chat. I really wanted to go out tonight and was hoping above hopes that my COVID was 'finished'.... I just tested and still have it, so I'm staying home for the sake of the community. I don't feel sick at all though. What a bummer.

You and I will just have to hang out tonight lol...

I might have to share some fireworks on the forums lol.

Re: not coping

@tyme its not just support workers. its honestly everyone around me. i cant keep friends. im always upsetting someone. i cant make new friends and when i do they hardly last unless im really distant and then it becomes an as need basis for them when they need me for something.

bugger about still being positive. share some fireworks here im sure many will enjoy it.

Re: not coping

Is it BPD related? @outlander

No need to answer if you don't feel up to it.

Re: not coping

for supports i guess so. @tyme i cant do anything right. i either overshare and people dont want to be around me or find me to much or i dont share at all and people dont know how to help or just find me boring to be around i guess.i dont know. and then when people leave i go through the abandonment phase.

Re: not coping

Hey @outlander , I'm honestly not sure it's so much YOU that is the issue.

There's a certain time in people's lives when 'making friends' is not a priority. They are more focused on career, settling down, having children, travelling, and making friends is not so crucial.

At school, it was more about making friends.

Then after school, it's about settling down.

Then people disappear off the radar a bit.

Then, as midlife comes around, people start thinking about retirement, and then the friendships and reconnection starts again.

Where am I? I'm in the 'people disappear off the radar' stage lol. I don't hear from people, and I don't contact people - much. I've got too much in life to contact people. Once in a while someone might text me (Like I'm sure tonight ppl will send a generally happy new year msg), but it's not like I need to reply.... that's just me.

So, maybe it's not so much about you being the issue, but it's a stage in life?

It might be hard to hear this, and you may not accept it, but I can see how so much of your younger life was devoted to helping others while others your age were making friends...

hugs.

thoughts?

Re: not coping

Thoughts about how this can change? Only if that's what you want. @outlander
