Re: not coping

We will be travelling interstate so all the cousins can be together. That'll mean I'll be free while they play. They are all around the same age, ranging from 3-9 years old. Then they have 2nd cousins - there are even more of them @Snowie

At least the kids are excited to see each other.

As long as they are entertained @tyme!! Hopefully you can have some adult time.

Are you away for long?

Re: not coping

i hope hubby improves and gets rid of covid soon @Snowie so much cleaning and disinfected when covid is around. i guess thats one way to get motivated to clean the house!

@tyme im not sure. i am sort of back to my normal self now besides the infections. i have to go to the drs on monday though for some symptoms that arent overly pleasant esp the fatigue. its very unusual for me to be sleeping for days on end so im thinking one of my medical conditions have flared up.

suppose to be a couple of pretty hot days here so i know that will affect me alot as one of my medical conditions dont allow me to regulate my body temperature so when its hot im really hot and when its really hot i may as well sit in an ice bath to keep at a normal temperature.

Re: not coping

It sounds like you have a lot of awareness about what's going on @outlander . I reckon that's a really good start. e.g. when it is really hot, keep your fluids up, etc.

I'm glad that MOST symptoms are better. I hope the infections clear up.

Please take care. I hope you can also reach out if you really need someone. You've always been there to support others.

At least the house is clean @outlander except for our bedroom. He is staying in there till he tests negative, then I will clean it.

I hope the doctor can help on Monday hon.

Re: not coping

ive worked so many shifts across the last couple of days @Snowie and attended to a few emergencies with clients. i worked close to 20 hours yesterday and working 16 hours today. im nearly finished for today but when i get home i plan to put on a christmas movie and do some wrapping. i guess its time to get into some spirit. i havent even put my tree yet which is unusual. i usually love christmas but this year everything feels like such an effort.

the wound is still giving me grief. the antibiotics seem to be working well with the infection but have another gp appointment in the morning to see what else needs to be done as its still fairly deep. hopefully it doesnt require any debridement now or further surgery but i guess ill find out more tomorrow. it may just be continuing the packing and dressing treatment for abit longer. it is looking abit healthier though so thats a good sign of the infection clearing and the wound healing more.

i would really like to go for my daily or almost daily walks again but because of the wound being such a high risk i have to try not to overstretch the skin, avoiding rubbing and still the pressures on the wound so still no high intensity work and no exercise specific walks like i normally would do as it causes to much rubbing. the nurses are trying to work out a way to increase padding to the area so that i could maybe go for a short walk every second day with reduced risk of making it worse.
