Re: not coping

I have an appointment with the doctor who did the gastroscopy the other week @outlander It is just a follow up appt. Will likely tell me all is fine and I'll see you again in three years time. Luckily it is by phone so don't have to drive over an hour to his offices.

Thats about it for me. After a lovely sunny day today, tomorrow is cold, wet and windy, so will most likely stay at home. My motivation to get out of the house is non existent.

Have you got any plans?

Re: not coping

I'm sure things will be fine @outlander just a follow up.

Is it a long shift? Is it the place you don't like?

Re: not coping

6 hours tomorrow @Snowie no its one of the jobs i like. i probably wont be at the place i dont like very much. the newer companies are starting to get some more clients so i can work more hours with them soon including longer night shifts

Re: not coping

Thats good that you are picking up more shifts where you like it @outlander Must make it that little easier to go to work. Time is probably going faster too.

Re: not coping

Re: not coping

@outlander, happy to hear you’ve found a work that you enjoy, it really makes a difference. Meds do sometimes come with annoying side effects, unfortunately. I’ve wondered whether my meds are the reason why I tend to feel so foggy

Re: not coping

it has made a difference @creative_writer im getting less triggered as well.

i can def feel the difference when im on the stronger stuff compared to normal day life ad flare ups. the meds tone the pain down but they also make me feel like whoozy and foggy.

Re: not coping

@outlander, workplace culture plays a huge role in whether you enjoy the job for sure. You deserve to have a job that you enjoy and look forward to going to. Your hard work paid off, I’m so proud of you.

I had one of my doses increased this year too, but sometimes meds need to be adjusted to improve quality of life. I tried to resist getting on more meds, but it just had to be done. It is hard when meds come with side effects. I always need my caffeine to get through the day

Re: not coping

the job is pretty tough @creative_writer but not to much that it becomes overly exhausting more just abit of a challange. enough for growth and less boredom so it works for me

i cant have to much caffeine because of a heart condition. i can only have it in small amounts. i guess sometimes we have to manage the side effects if it helps us get through life abit easier
