Re: not coping

That sounds so tough @outlander . I'm hearing how hard it is even when you are working. Can you go onto payment plans or something?

It seems like the gap is widening where the rich are getting richer and the poor, poorer - do you think so? I could be wrong.

Re: not coping

I’m already on repayment plans @tyme but I have so many loans taken out for medical expenses and stuff and now I need to save again for more medical expenses it just never ends. I was going well till I had to reduce my hours by nearly half so that’s almost half my income gone from when I took out the loans originally. I’m slowly working through them but all I seem to do it work to pay bills. The more I start paying off and finalising loans the quicker I can make extra repayments on others but as it stands I still have so many that I wasn’t expecting to still be paid off. It’s just a really hard situation I guess.

Re: not coping

It sounds so unfortunate @outlander - it really makes me consider how hard it is for those who aren't working. Or those who are working so few hours - too much to get support, but too little to be able to pay off a bill/debt.

Can you think of any money saving hacks?

Re: not coping

If I could get a debt consolidation loan through a bank the repayments would be so much lower but they go off what my expenses are and what my credit score is. If the score isn’t high enough which is no mine isn’t then it’ll be declined even though the repayments would be way cheaper for me and easier to afford hence the ability to pay it off maybe even faster but banking doesn’t work like that.

The only saving I can do is to stop counselling and all other medical expenses. I’ve already reduced everything. If I could find another job that could offer me a couple of hours a week casually it would help dramatically @tyme

Re: not coping

@outlander, living costs have definitely gone up, it’s really hard. Everything adds up at the end of the day. There is a lot of financial burden on so many. I wish I could do something to make it easier, but all I can do is listen 💓
