Re: not coping

i had it checked a couple of years ago by xray and it was fine. no one thought to do any other tests on it since then so its more then likely that. @Captain24 but i cant keep having cluster headaches and when the mri scan is done ill be asking for my neck to be included as well.

i already hate being here. its always so dramatic when im here because half the workers are incompetent, the new team leader is beyond hopeless and lazy and honestly i have no idea with so many errors why they were even employed here in the first place or kept on. ive just had to go use my own money to buy supplies for the work house because my stupid boss hasnt bothered to approve work stuff so the groceries havent been able to be order for the last couple of days either. honestly i am at a point i only work for the money here now. and i dont want it to be that way

Re: not coping

An MRI showed that my neck curves the wrong way. With a lot of physio and regular Chiro appointments my headaches are much milder. I also have a neck brace if they get too bad that I put on and it eases it.

That’s pretty rough. What would they do for food if you didn’t do it? Isn’t the wellbeing of the clients important? I’m not one that’s confident enough to speak out about a team leader, but are you? Could you maybe mention it? Sorry I’m pretty passionate about the care provided in group homes. My cousin didn’t eat often in one because the carer didn’t like him and would always yell at him so he just hid in his room. He is now happy with a different home and company.

Re: not coping

@outlander, having headaches all the time is physically and mentally draining. I hope they are able to find something that works for you 💖🫂

Re: not coping

@captiain24 I paid for it myself. I’ll claim it back in tax. I was the team leader lol so I am ok to speaking to the staff here. It doesn’t matter what I do, I can’t help incompetent staff and business managers. The clients are well looked after here it just seems to be the stuff behind the scenes since I dropped down from being manager. Literally all falling apart.

It is really hard @creative_writer hopefully some answers soon

I’ve had 2 panic attacks in the 4 hours I’ve been at work 😞 I just need this shift to hurry up so I can go home

Re: not coping

@outlander, I’m sorry work has been hectic, you’re almost there. It is hard when you feel so emotionally charged on shift.

I really do hope you can get answers.

Sending you hugs 💖🫂

Re: not coping

It’s not even because of the clients today. I think it’s just this environment at this point. It wasn’t long ago I had meltdowns in front of other external staff as well so it’s happening more often.

4 hours to go

Re: not coping

Hope you are okay. Can you distract yourself by talking to the clients or something @outlander ?

Re: not coping

The clients are watching football as usual. @Captain24 @tyme @creative_writer
I can’t stand watching sports so I’m on the laptop and listening to music but I’m getting tired.

I’m trying to sort out stuff for the end of the year without being overly expensive. Have to travel to another state in a couple of months for medica treatment so need to find somewhere to stay and arrange supports to help me to and from appts etc on the days I have the treatment happening. I have a feeling it’ll be expensive though but at least it’s abit of a distraction looking at hotels and stuff to stay in
