Re: not coping

I’m so sorry @outlander. It just sounds so miserable for you right now. I wish I could take some of it away for you. My heart really goes out to you today. You do so much for others.

Are you able to try and get some sleep before your shift or do you just have too much to do at home?

Re: not coping

im not really that tired, well i am but not really. i spent the last 3 days before yesterday sleeping off migraines with stong pain killers so i dont really want to sleep but i also do. sorry that probably makes no sense lol.

no i have to go do grocery shopping and pick up some office stuff and the horses and then get to work as well. im not really up for it but i guess i have to.

im also trying to find another job because the hours im able to work right now at my current workplace wont sustain much at all for very long so looks like ill now have to get a secon job on top of looking after family and my original job.

Re: not coping

I kinda get it @outlander its like you want to sleep but sick of being asleep?

I really don’t know how you do everything you do. My hat goes off to you. I’m in awe of how you manage to just keep pushing through with so much you are going through yourself.

A second job on top of everything else must be so hard. Do your family help at all or is it just all up to you?

Re: not coping

yeah i feel like ive been sleeping forever and trying to recover @Captain24 which has been good but i also need to get to work so if i can manage the headache then ill be going. i need to save me leave for the end of the year.

i guess in a way im just use to doing everything. ive always had to step up or had responsibilities that have been put on me without a choice so in a way as hard as it is ive sort of adapted to the drama. i cant wait till it ends though. every small step is another piece of the puzzle.
i have to constantly ask family for help but its only 2-3 people helping within the same family unit so its not always fair but i also need to work and earn a living too.
90% of it is all up to me. i work my shifts that revolve around taking siblings to school and when i dont have pop or when someone else can look after him so i can work. i make appointments during that time frame too. my life literally revolves around everyone else and when they can 'fit their dad/pop' into their life so i can have a break

Re: not coping

I guess 2 or 3 family members is a little help. @outlander. It’s a shame most of it has landed in you. I’m glad that you have a goal in place and are slowly getting there with each step. At least it’s a step closer.

I hope you get what you need to done and that your head settles so you can get to work.

You have a very kind heart!

Re: not coping

thanks @Captain24

ive gone and gotten my office stuff so i can take it to work to sort out while im there.
just waiting on my click and collect grocery shop to be done now so i can go get that. should be ready within the next half hour and then heading to work.
ive taken some otc pain meds for my headache to help it stop from becoming a migraine but i think ill be back to the drs next week again to get a check over. i cant believe the headache is back. im just hoping that it goes back away again and doesnt turn into another cluster

Re: not coping

groceries picked up and put away. lunch sorted out and now ready for work. at least i feel like ive done something today. @Captain24 @Eve7 i have a couple of tasks to do at work so hopefully will make the time go abit quicker today in amongst the normal shift duties. my leg is super sore though its making it hard to do very much but im on a easy going shift in general so it shouldnt be to bad

Re: not coping

I’m glad you have a sense of accomplishment @outlander.

I hope the OTC work for you. I may be of kilter here. and feel free to tell me so, but have you ever had your neck checked?

Here’s hoping it’s a quick and easy shift for you and you can get done what you need.
