Re: not coping

Hi @outlander

I know it's tough looking at the whole journey - one step at a time seems a good strategy - it works for me.

Some mornings I think of the chores I have to do before my shoulder decided to cooperate - brush my hair, dressing gown, brekkie, teeth, whatever - it seems simple but yes - chronic pain does make simple things a challenge.

And you have a heap of things to deal with in order to start a life on your own - something you are entitled to, want, need, deserve, have earned - and your family is not in the habit of helping you out - I am sure it's really convenient for them to have to living where you are and pitching it to help whenever someone wants something from someone they feel is the black sheep.

And you are not the black sheep - whatever people say and whatever they think and whatever you feel - you are a fine young woman I would love to have in my circle - I am proud to know you in this forum.

The big picture is just that - big - still - it's made up of small bits - of Lego - like your picture.

It might take a long time - you have a long list - I have every confidence that you will do this in time.

All the best

Owlunar

Re: not coping

How did the trip go @outlander . Proud of you for doing it alone. I struggle with that too. Always like my husband to drive me. Then in May I took my daughter to Melbourne and did the trip with me driving there and back (she doesn't drive so had no choice). It was a fear I'd had so I felt proud after I got back home. I did manage to reverse into a pole which I was not so proud of lol.

Re: not coping

Thank you everyone for your msgs. I have been quite unwell and been to the drs yesterday. On new medications but if they don’t work by the weekend I have to go up to the hospital to get more medical treatment. Hopefully not though

Thanks @tyme
I have an intractable migraine.it’s been a month now but it didn’t have a name plus there’s something happening with my eyes and need an mri scan as that could be what’s causing the recurrent migraines among other things
The stronger meds are helping on and off. It’s the best they e been for a couple of weeks so hopefully one or 2 more doses over night will be enough to finally break the cycle and can avoid hospital
