Re: not coping

@tyme I’m not a massive reader. I tend to pick up a book when I’m in hospital. But I generally read autobiographies.

one of my favourites was ‘the girl who fell from the sky’ - by Emma Carey. I couldn’t put it down! I follow her on Instagram and she put her book out last year. She went sky diving in Switzerland and the parachute didn’t open and she survived but became a paraplegic. I won’t spoil any of it, but she is an amazingly inspiring young woman.

I also enjoyed Grace Tames book too. And I’ve started Spare, by prince harry. I’ve got a couple of others to read too.

I haven’t read Ahn Do’s.

Re: not coping

Ooo @Bow , Yes, i heard a radio interview with Emma Carey where she told the audience what led her to write the book and what her experiences were. It was really awesome to hear. I'll have a look to see if i can get a copy. I'd love to read it.

@outlander , how old is your sister? Does she live with you? It's nice you are taking her to school.

Re: not coping

It's incredible how much you do despite your pain and other conditions @outlander . You resilience and strength is incredible. I hear you may not feel it right now, but I can see it. And the fact that you still reach out to others in volunteering and helping... wow.

The day's gone down the drain? @outlander Why say you that? It sounds like you achieved a lot.

Re: not coping

because im getting in trouble for work things @tyme @Snowie
for something that i had done what was asked but apparently its not right and the team leader puts the blame on everyone except himself and the mistakes.
no disability team leader lets their houses go without medications but wanted to wait till tonight like right now to yell at me for not getting meds sorted on thursday arvo (like a hour and a half before they closed)when there wasnt any appointments and i havent been at work either.
this new team leader has had it out for me, blames me and the other staff for their short comings. its getting more and more frustrating but the business manager doesnt care. there have been several incidents since the new person stepped up and not once has anything been done.
what a nice way to end the day

Re: not coping

I'm sorry that is happening to you @outlander

It is not fair that you are getting the blame for something you didn't do hon.

Re: not coping

Oh hun @outlander ,

I'm so sorry to hear this.

Would you consider speaking to your managers about this and sharing your side of things? Sometimes people react (I'm not saying it is okay) because of various pressures. If you could explain what you have shared here, do you think it will make a difference?

Hugs to you @outlander

Re: not coping

@tyme I already spoke to to actual managers several times and nothing changes. It’s gotten to a point I no longer say anything because it’s just ignored anyway.
The new person as team leader only got the job because they work there the most not because they are capable. It’s not even a hard job and still brushes it off onto me as the ex leader. Staff are always complaining that the shift duties are done etc. it’s also why I’m looking at other work.

I shouldn’t be the one getting in trouble for their lack of compency. Who even organises medications on a Saturday/Sunday knowing full well clients are required to take those meds on Monday mornings. I feel like I’m forever fixing their mistakes and I know I shouldn’t but I do it for the clients. It’s not right and it’s not fair. I wish I could show you some of the msgs I received from them on social media might I add and not through text msg like it should be
