Re: not coping

to be honest @Eve7 no not really

i feel like that part of my life is slipping away too. im usually ok once i get there but its the getting there thats the hard part. i dont really feel very helpful anymore. like a big part of me doesnt really know what to do with myself even though i know what im doing with the horses but i just stand back these days and still feel lost with that too. i got offerred to join in on a couple of the rides with borrowed horses and i turned it down. it feels unusual for me to do that. maybe when i dont have so many responsibilities on my plate it might make a difference

Re: not coping

@outlander I think with anything we do in life that the first few steps are always the hardest for us.

The main thing is that you have started to move forward with your life. It wasn't going to be easy for you, but that is where you show so much strength and courage in doing it.

Baby steps hon 💕💕

Re: not coping

Perhaps you just need to give yourself some time @outlander It is still so very raw and new for you. It is easy to second guess ourselves too. Thinking if we have made the right decision or not.

Re: not coping

i havent really been able to make many changes yet @Snowie the day program is up and running but it also means that i cant work because he wont be able to come to work and no ones around to pick him up before the day centre closes so it still doesnt make it any different for me except that itll give me time to make appointments or clean or do whatever while hes not at home.

Re: not coping

its going to be a big change for my mother who keeps using my dryer and has the house full of her junk. im not removing any more so once all this happens she will either have to take the house or move her crap out. again i have to give up my spare room and shed for her to put her crap in it

Re: not coping

I understand that there are not many changes yet for you @outlander but hopefully they will come with time. I'm guessing your mum will have to make some big decisions for herself.
