Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

Hi @eudemonism.. I would do best not to comment much on when you should go for a relationship.. but yes go when think is right to.
My 2 cents.. more than anything, go for a relationship when you are so happy with yourself that you don't really feel the need to be dependent on the other person... cuz then you don't have expectations. You'll likely to have more fruitful association.

Being single can be equally good though.

best wishes

Re: Coming to terms with reality

Hi @Former-Member..
No no pets for me. I've always see that as a lot of work.
However of late I've been considering getting on.

Hope you're going well... and the sciatica isn't troubling much.

Have a great day😊

Re: Coming to terms with reality

@Friendconnect goldfish or a feline are rather simple and easy to look after. Where as a dog... Can be very demanding and stressful...

Re: Coming to terms with reality

very much so @eudemonism

mischievous ...naughty...have their own personalities...yes demanding

if something happens to them or they go missing...it feels like someone has ripped a part of your body away from you...

the love they return to you is immeasurable...

@Friendconnect

had to laugh at suggestion by Eude re goldfish...they too are a lot of work...cleaning out the tank...etc...

cats are more work if they are indoors only....

cat runs are a brilliant idea as they get the fresh air...they were born in nature...

they are not as restricting if you go away for a night either..

at the end of the day you have to be prepared to put some time into them...they do want to be shown love...they will cost...food..vet bills etc...

I am just a huge animal lover...

@Friendconnect @Former-Member @Shaz51 & @Appleblossom

My life is a bit of a crisis... When I compare what my life is... against what It could be... I notice some very big problems...

The aqua phase injection they are giving me... Settles me down... But also creates bigger problems...

How I'm feeling is the main problem I have to contend with... And my mental health does effect my physical health... The thing is, the system has this text book approach of where they think things should be perfect and a text book approach where they try to make it perfect... And in between time... I believe it has destroyed my human nature and more or less... Turned me into a natural human being who has to live with an unnatural substance inside of him... Which creates a distorted, disturbed and dysfunctional being... Who is rather unhealthy and unhappy... And has had to resort to a lifestyle. Which, has evolved around the side effects of the drugs they are forcefully giving me. Because of the expectations of society, the system and the majority... I really don't know what to do about it? Or what else I can do too help myself?

Eude...

Re: Coming to terms with reality

@eudemonismWhen you look at your position in life. I hope you can see the reasons that make it understandable. I mean, rather than being hard on yourself.

When I was younger I knew a lot of people who were not well and not liking their medication. I have been ambivalent about it for myself too. I believe that social injustice is usually implicated when a person has mental health issues. Even when first posting on this site. I mentioned the problem of side effects, as I did not want them to be denied and to pretend that medication solves all. I am not sure which side effects are a problem for you, but I do feel for you in the difficulty of the dilemna you endure.

Re: Coming to terms with reality

@eudemonism

Always remember that if your medication is causing too many side effects you can talk to the go about this..

there are newer medications out..they all, affect people differently also..

When is your next one due?
