Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

That's all apart of baring the cross for all people in our lives. Even if they take things to the extreme before they do it for us. Or even if they do it for us at all?

I was just thinking about all the mental health issues I been through. Which have stemmed from real life stuff. Which involved real life people. Which I wish I'd never been through and never had to deal with. Which caused so many real life fears. Which caused me so many social problems with family and friends. I've had to resort to telling myself a few wise things or two. Too try and subdue the brunt of all it has caused in my mind. And yea, I desperately wanted someone to blame, answers, away out of it, a way to fix the damage it done to me, a way to get my life back on track. And unfortunately; it has damaged me, taken from me, and left me with huge issues.

I think what frustrates me the most is, thinking, knowing and believing there is away out of it and away to rectify and fix all of it. But truth be known. There is probably only, methods which dampen and lessen the effects of all this real life stuff that still haunts, burdens, troubles and bothers me. So with this being said. I now say that that medication disables me and makes me suffer in away that is separated from all this personal and intimate real life stuff which is so closely tied to my internal thoughts, feelings, actions, family life. And others whom I've been closely involved with. So it's basically like a second place prize against what I would of really liked, what my life could of been and what my life should of been... Had I not had so many issues to deal with throughout the most important years of my life. And the culprit behind it becomes a medical system based around mental health issues. And distracts me from all the nitty gritty stuff. Does that make sense? It does to me...

I know the other sides of the story are out there still... And when I'm struggling to get life together. And turn it into something good for myself. Or at least understand what's going on. It makes it all that much more frustrating. @Former-Member

"Nice to hear from you @eudemonism

The circle of mental illness and the health system is part of the mental illness..For me..I have learnt to let go of the horrible events in my life....I see change as an opportunity...my choice..

I make sure that I can trust and relate..they will listen to me...when that does not happen ..I look elsewhere..

to get better..I have to be ready for the hard work..the learning to trust..assessing these medical people who will be part of my care at this time..

i also have to be managing my depression..anxiety and trauma....in a place where I am ready to talk about what is happening with me..taking charge of my medication and advising my psychiatrist when not working..no do not want increase..prn on standby..

that is easy part..hard part is talking about painful stuff...helps to look at it from another angle..

doesn't changed what happened to me..it can change the way I react to it..not let it upset me....know that is there but old hat now..

get back some of those plans....how are the new fridge and freezer?

look at everything that you have achieved..then can think what is one thing that I want to work on?

jot ideas down,,,see where your ideas take you...release that creativity you have..can't let that go to waste

I'm sorry about you back and leg pain. And anything else your dealing with. It don't sound good. Poor health, health problems and aging are all scary stuff. I've pretty much given up on caring about my health and just take it as it comes. Something will eventually catch up with me though. If something goes wrong. Go to the doctor. Take the medicine. Follow the advice.

Maybe it's time for a health kick? A few weeks of herbal teas, up the veggies and fruits, get into some salads, soak up some sunshine? Do some reflection? Practice gratitude, thankfulness, appreciate?

I've heard oregano is good for a range of ailments. Do you have any in the garden?

.
The fridge and freezer are doing good. I haven't even turned the freezer on yet. And the fridge has been pretty empty. Because I had a whole heap of bills to take care of over the Christmas and new year break and in the first month of 2018. Stuff like. Vet bill. Car rego. License renewal. Ambulance cover. Dog rego. Cat desexing. Plus I'm paying my loan off now days. It all adds up. So my diet went down hill abit. Plus I'm a smoker and I'm feeling the tax.

Re: Coming to terms with reality

hello thanks for your caring reply..

yes I agree ...healthy foods and herbal teas are good for our systems..

I have a healthy attitude to the food that I eat...vegetables are my favourite..some fruits...mediterranean tossed greens, capsicum, olives..spanish onion..feta cheese..beetroot...is one of my favourites..

I also love tabouleh but have never made it...lots of fine cutting up...

my downfall is when I am at my lowest...I lose my appetite...so eat little....

I am pretty flat tonight...

I will take on board what you have said and have some salad.

yes bills are the bane of our existence....

that time of year is the toughest for most...

you will slowly get back on track....

tobacco yes continually going up....have you tried smoking half instead of a whole one if you roll your own?

great to see you on the gardening thread...some good ideas happening there...your garden sounds exciting...

time to be off of here now

speak again

@Shaz51 @Former-Member @Former-Member & @Former-Member (you're all welcome to join into my thread if you like.) there was others who were contributing earlier on in the picture. But they fell off for some reason. Perhaps my wellness was being compromised?

I can't lie too myself. I can only be myself. However, people may not know what goes on inside my mind. (not the full extent of it anyway) perhaps they have their own stuff going on?) which they too cannot hide from themselves. But can only hide it from others? - I am very sensitive toward my own internal thoughts. And it is not all good. Some of it is bad. And I'm interested to find our how many others go through similar thoughts. Eude.

It's hard to work out how I should think of myself. When, I'm at the forefront of my own internal thoughts 24 hours a day. and 365 days a year. It's hard to work out who and what I really am... Eude.
