Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

I'm wanting to really sort my backyard out. Make a path. Get a bench. Get a good chook pen. Get a shelter. Make a fire pit. move th the lemon tree and start taking care of it. Get a bird bath. Get some cast iron baths or concrete wash troughs. Or some rain water tank garden beds. Really sort everything out. It will take years of ongoing work. You know. Get the herb garden sorted. Get a regular flow of veggies. Greens and fruits. Fill up all the spaces with useful plants.

And I'd also like to, get a good desk for my writing. - I need a system where all my writing remains private and copywrited as mine. Where I use it for material and it returns profit for myself.

I been thinking for awhile now, I'd like to get a store of relishes, chutneys, preserves and pickled veggies. Just for the heck of it and for the health benefits.

Re: Coming to terms with reality

good morning @eudemonism

brilliant idea...

you don't have to do it all in one day though laugh...although I am like that too sometimes....very enthused and wanting things to happen...

you mentioned the two trees...have you planted those or are they still in pots?

setting up new garden beds can be hard work but spread out is enjoyable as you see your garden start to develop.

preparing the soil is vital...digging over existing...might need some topsoil and fertilser...I think you then wait a couple of weeks keeping up the watering...before planting seedlings...

so perhaps focus on which part will bring you the most joy and relaxation first...

a bench under the two trees.....an old armchair...an old comfy wooden kitchen chair to begin with...paint it your favourite colour...

do you like windchimes? they are lovely ...my husband hates them and kept moving them further and further away from the house..I had wooden ones...I have seen some made from forks...quirky and interesting..

perhaps you might like to sketch a plan ...design where you want to put what...look at which part gets morning sun...vegetables and fruit like full sun so they can go in the part with the afternoon sun...as do herbs.,..herbs are so easy to grown and smell divine..

do you want a rambling garden...or something more formal...?

I am also thinking you would get some great advice or just read back over some points from the community garden thread...I will invite you over there...no need to post if you dont want to ...just be a silent observer...I do this often when having a bad day ...or ask questions...whatever you want..what is good for eude..

I am very excited for you....

It's a rambling garden. It's only in a small space. But it very effective. It's all work in progress. Really looking forward to the final vision slowly coming together though. Really looking forward to getting the most out of it. And utilising all of. It's a brilliant lay out and will work very well.

Re: Coming to terms with reality

hello @eudemonism

the size of a garden does not matter...

the love and care that you put into it....the creating of something special with nature is so healing..

this is so exciting..

I can't wait to hear more...

I did write in the self care community garden which is actually on the carer's side...

to me which side does not make a difference...as you are a carer of yourself..

so I do hope that you do not mind...even if you just have a look...no pressure at all to respond..

the people on that thread are lovely and caring too.

@Former-Member

Yeah okay. I've pretty much got a vision in my mind of what I want it too be like. And it changes as time goes bye. But I'll check the thread out and see what it's like.

Re: Coming to terms with reality

Hi @eudomonism. There used to be a place called Cats Incorporated. You ring them and they send a referral to your vet and you pay the discount price. Hope this helps!

Re: Coming to terms with reality

good morning @eudemonism

spotted you over in the self care community garden ...

your garden sounds as though it is coming along nicely...I love rambling gardens they are my favourites...with special little protected areas to sit and reflect...feel the calm of nature...

the wonderful thing about gardens as you can observe all of your hard work and feel great pride in all of your hard work....your creation..

they sometimes need pruning...some plants dying back or just not healthy ..can be removed if necessary and once the soil allowed to be turned and replenished...fed nutrients...a new planting bringing new life and a slight change...the area becoming exciting and rewarding..

I have a bit of stuff happenig at moment..so might not be on here as much in next couple of weeks...I will try when I can..

I just wanted to let you know...you are an important person very much valued in my virtual world..so letting you know...as friends do..

keep on gardening and sharing on the other garden thread...you are welcomed there...

will speak when I can

take care my friend eude

Re: Coming to terms with reality

@Former-Member Yeah OK, no worries...

I've got more stuff on my too do list, then energy too do them. It's easy to start thinking it's all to hard. And too sit or lay down and hide from the world.

And it makes me oh so frustrated. Because nothing is getting done and I become morbid and stagnant. And am simply overwhelmed bye medication side effects.

Eude.

Re: Coming to terms with reality

@Former-Member I'm stuck hey!

I'm stuck on medication. I'm stuck on the pension. I'm stuck in this government unit. I'm stuck in the mhs. I'm stuck in this community. I'm stuck in this country. I'm stuck on this God forsaken planet. And there's pretty much nothing I can do about any of it. And there is problems everywhere.
