Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

@Zoe7 what is a heat pump? Does it keep the house cool as well?

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

I prefer the warmer weather but do like the snow in winter @Bunniekins - the Tassie summer is usually pretty perfect - we do have some very high temp days but usually the weather is around the mid 20s - perfect

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

@Bunniekins yea I'm a victim of crime also. It's absolutely terrible. I was that unwell after crime took place i couldn't even do the counselling sessions.

Yes it does @eudemonism you set the temperature and it keeps the roon/house at that constant temp - mine is floor mounted which spreads the heat/cold from floor up - perfect for my little house.

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

@eudemonism I understand that Eude but I have to do the sessions as everytime I get a trigger even now just talking about it to you it is like a stab in the heart. My pdoc says and she is right that to get over my past I have to do the sessions.

I'm not exactly sure what you're talking about @Zoe7 but it sounds good... there's heaps of air conditioners on the market these days...

I don't think we ever truly get over our past @Bunniekins it will always be there... however my sessions made it easier to deal with certain things...

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

I agree with you @eudemonism I don't think we truly get over our past either we just find ways of dealing with things. Some days are better than others and often we have to ride out the not so good days.

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

Yea @Zoe7 after being a victim of crime. I was offered counselling... in hindsight i should of accepted and attended sessions asap. But didn't because i was fearful they'd be 'out to get me ' if they knew about all the mistakes I had made. Instead i was criticizing them. And yes... it had everything to do with my past...

hello @eudemonism@Bunniekins@Zoe7

I have just caught up on several pages back of conversation..

Some interesting thoughts there..

Eude ...Greenpea is spot on in saying not to worry about your past...I realise that is far easier said than done...

It is also part of the cycles that you go through and mood fluctuations that you have mentioned..

mood fluctuations play havoc with my self-esteem at times too...

These are also good conversations to have with your psychologist as well as continuing on the forums..

@Bunniekins so sorry to read about the reason why you will be getting extra psychology support...

You are a very strong courageous lady ...You also are aware that taking this path will be beneficial for not only yourself but your family also...

You are such an inspiring Pea..

@Zoe7I have not heard about the floor pump either....That does not mean a thing though laugh...I probably have heard it mentioned at some stage in my life and it is now long gone...lost in heavy fog...

I too like my own company...

occasionally I like socialising...very much depends on the people though..

I found when I went on the last Carer outing....(my second in over 2 years)...I enjoyed being in the company of others...smiling...exchanging pleasantries...mostly not feeling judged....any anxiety that might have been there I did not worry about...that in itself was incredible...

Time to get off of the computer..

am stiffening up too much lately...

Take care all

shall speak again 😎❤
