Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

@Bunniekins i think we got that hot stuff you're in now-yesterday. It's a little better today, but still warm and windy.

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

It is so hard to open up at the best of times @eudemonism let alone when we have suffered a trauma of some kind. I am presently in the process of going back to see my psychologist who I haven't seen in over a year. The time was not right for me to go through things back then - I was in a very vulnerable state and it was re-traumatising to even think about things. The time needs to be right for each individual and maybe that time is better for you now.

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

@Sophia1 no worries. I'm just acknowledging past stuff. There's no two ways about it really.
I'm abit lost when it comes to decisions and getting on with life... sometimes it's best to do nothing...

It's a slow and steady process @Zoe7 no right or wrong way to go about it....

Yes @eudemonism

Sometimes we need to be kind and gentle with ourselves as we so often are with others..

I constantly have to remind myself of this..

Doing nothing can be the same as allowing ourselves just to be where we are at this given time....accept that we are human not robots...not perfect...

Takes me back to Living in the Now

Sending you wishes for a relaxing..calm...accepting Eude day..🙌

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

The floor heat pump runs the same as the wall mounted air conditioners it is just bigger but perfect for my place as it is only a small house and the heat/cold covers the house well @Sophia1 @eudemonism

Yes I am in Tassie Eude - it is a beautiful place but does get cold in winter. This winter didn't seem to be quite as bad as ones we have had in the previous few years but I was inside for most of it with the heat on so that really helped.

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

@Sophia1 Most of my social outings are with family but I am grateful that they do not happen often. I don't especially enjoy those get togethers as the conversation nearly always revolves around the horses and how they are going. I hate horse racing and have no interest what so ever in hearing about it. That makes it really diffiult as my whole family are really involved. It has never been something I have liked from when my grandfather used to train and drive many years ago. I generally switch off when they begin talking and try to focus on other things. It doesn't however make for a pleasant experience for me.

It is great that your most recent outing with fellow Carers was enjoyable - it does make a difference when you have things in common and can share stories.

@Zoe7 who recommended the brand and type of air con? And who installed it for you? What was the total costs?

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

I had one when I moved in to the house that was already installed. That broke (my fault as I tripped and fell on it when I was cleaning it) and we replaced it with the same type but a more efficient, newer model. A private contractor installed it and I don't remember how much it was but it was less than most would pay because all the wiring and pipes needed were already in place. The contractor was a parent of a child at school also so I got a really good deal - think it was just over $2000 but I am not sure of the exact figure as my mother paid for it at the time - I couldn't afford it and she helped out. @eudemonism
