Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

@Zoe7 Tormorrow sounds great for you Zoe7 :). What show have you been watching? I have a psych appt in the afternoon where I can talk about my issues re medication and weight and my moods etc. Will be interesting what she says. Before that I will do more exercise as I am determined to rid myself of this weight!!

Line of Duty - a British Cop drama @Bunniekins It isn't on until 8.30 so I will probably watch that and then head to bed - especially if I have done everything tomorrow I want to do.

I understand the weight gain from meds - I put on a lot of weight before my meds were changed - still trying to get some of it off too... I am getting there but it is very slow.

I loved The Bill @Bunniekins watched it religiously every week. Always recorded it if I was not home to watch it lol

Some nights I wish I was in bed by 8.30 - last night it was about 10pm, up early but slept for another couple of hours this morning - could have stayed asleep most of the day with how I was feeling but glad I got up and to the pool - made a big difference to my afternoon.

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

No worries @Zoe7 I've had an ok day... I've filled the garbage bin up with some of the weed / clippings pile again, give it 5-6 weeks and i should have it under control.
I went for a drive with friend, took the dog for a run, helped out someone.
However I've been flat / a little off all day, because i haven't had many cigarettes today, i ran out... i've been on nico gum instead. ( managing this feeling is gonna be key to getting off the ciggies or even transitioning from smoke to gum)
It's good that your getting on top of the gardening, it's good that your taking Toby to the beech tomorrow. How's the social life been going? What are you cooking for tea?
My python shed it's skin tonight... purrpurr my cat sat there watching it happen... then she jumps on the tank and watches and paws at the glass, as if wanting t9 touch the python. then i pick her up; and she goes into fright, flight or fight mode, she's a tripper, jumping all over the place as i got her off the tank... *i think this is where curiosity killed the cat comes from.
Yea anyway, subject change. I can get really discouraged and disheartened about everything in my life, i really get moody and down about it; even enraged, especially at certain people, especially when i blame them as well.

Do you live close to the beech at @Bunniekins ??? The sun has finally come out here today, however it was a little windy.

Not an easy thing at all stopping smoking @eudemonism It is good that you have the gum and not trying to go cold turkey. It seems like you are doing an ok job so far so well done.

I am not a fan of snakes but it would be cool seeing your python shed their skin - one of natures little wonders

The previous cat I had decided that she wantedmto see what was in the fish tank where I had my hermit crabs and somehow got the lid off and jumped into the tank. Two of the poor little crabs ended up the other side of the kitchen - don't know how long she had been playing with them but they must have curled up in their shells while she patted them around the floor. They both survived!

I think we all feel discouraged or disheartened at times with things in our life Eude - what matters is how we deal with that. It is ok not to be positive about everything in our lives - we all have times when the negative mindset takes over - I am still learning how to get through those times too so you are not alone there.
