Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

@Zoe7 yea i actually had a few hermit crabs as a child. Odd little creatures they are. Do you still keep them?
Apart myself doesn't like snakes either . But it's more so the venomous ones i don't like then the non venomous.
Yea being discouraged and disheartened about everything, is not a good way to be, it makes it harder.
I looked for that show your meant to be watching. But couldn't find it.

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

The show that was on tonight or the one I want to watch tomorrow night @eudemonism?

I don't still have hermit crabs - had then for the kids at school. They are funny little creatures and it is hard to get the environment right for them. I used to have to replace the crabs when one died and tell the kids that they had changed shells. We had 3 at one stage called Alvin, Simon and Theodore - think we had 3 Alvins all up and 2 of the others

I just quickly checked the epg when you said on the line. Not all the time do i feel like watching tv. Yes agree with negative thinking stuff. @Zoe7 am going to prepare for sleep in a moment. Finally feel like I'm well rested rather then over fatigued.

@eudemonism Hi Eude yes I do live close to some beaches. I don't go as often as I would like as I don't like the sun but was thinking of going next week for a walk along the shore line :).

Yea @Bunniekins the novelty of living close to the beech can get old... i live about 5-10 minutes away from several beaches / waterfront spots... some days i use them and some days i don't...

Good morning @Zoe7 how are you today? Are you still taking Toby to the beech?

Goodmorning Eude

The plan is go to the shop for a few things, then do some more gardening and this afternoon take Toby to the beach.

WHat are you up to today @eudemonism?

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

A friend is coming back from the city. So I'm semi expecting him to come around and visit. Also I've thought about servicing my car (changing oil and filter) but I'm not real confident with stuff like that, and would need an experienced person watching over me.
@Zoe7 apart from that... probably not much... may be go for a drive with my dog...

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

I need my car serviced but I am waiting until I am back at work as the place I take my car is directly over the road from the school. Have been taking my cars to the same place all my life - my family go to the same place - they do a good job and it is reasonably priced.

Sounds like you have a similar day to me - not a lot going on but getting out at some stage with the dog is on the cards @eudemonism

Do you drive far when you head out? Are there places you like to visit more than others?

I tend to just head to the beach when I need time out of the hosue and the bonus is Toby gets to run in the sand as well.
