Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

GP bulk bills @eudemonism I haven't seen the psychologist since earlier in the year but she was under the MHCP until those sessions ran out then it was private cover I used. The pdoc is covered along with DBT as an in-patient as it is run in the hospital part of the clinic - that is under my private cover.

Yea @Zoe7 well at least you're getting the best possible care for yourself... i know that a variety of supports and people have helped with my illness and recovery. I don't like calling it recovery, because my current condition, is probably as good as it gets, and it's no better or worse then my original state of mind.

What's happening for everyone today?

Anyone wanna chat?

I've done pretty much stuff all today. Slept until 10am got up, had nicotine gum, had cup up tea, had feed, went for a drive with Mister. Went and visited this other guy who is also on meds, took him for a small drive, then took this other guy for a drive and went for walk down the beech. Had a few smokes, came home, slept for three hours, got up, had nico gum, had couple cups of tea, now watching the news.

One of those days to say the least...

Feeling very blah 😖😞... dam weather...

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

It is beautful weather here @eudemonism - so I have been out doing a bit of gardening. Got a part of the garden I wanted to cut back done and a little more weeding around my garden edge. Tomorrow I will spread the potting mix I finally got out of the car today and plant the plants I have left to plant. I made it to the pool today and had the pool all to myself for nearly half an hour - it was wonderful

Tomorrow I am planning on taking Toby to the beach as well as going to the chemist. I might pick up a couple of things I need from the shop also.

@Zoe7@eudemonism Hi Zoe7 and Eude :). I have picked up my daughter today and have done 2 hours of exercise. It has been wet on and off definitely not weather for the beach here.

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

wow 2 hours @Bunniekins well done - you have outdone me by an hour - but my exercise was pretty light - lots of walking and stretching in the pool.

What are your plans for tonight - I have just put dinner on so will be a later meal time for me tonight.

@Zoe7 Thanks Zoe7 🙂 .... ummm I have a woolies salad pre prepared in the fridge if I get hungry 😄 and the kids will eat the same. Feeling tired today ... don't know why .... probably because of the 2 hours of exercise lolz!!

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

LOL that would do it @Bunniekins - 2 hours would have me asleep by now from exhaustion already!

Planning on a beach walk with Toby tomorrow and some more gardening - then a little housework before hopefully a quiet night watching tv. There is a show on ABC I have been watching so that is my plan.

DO you have any plans for tomorrow?
