Coming to terms with reality

Coming to terms with reality

Hi Readers, i am suffering from "mental health issues" and it is an ongoing, daily battle. I am pretty much constantly wrestling with the thoughts going on in my mind. And my psychical life seems too be suffering for it. (There is a huge difference between physical and mental ) something is definitely not right! So each day I'm waking up and going about my routine. And over the last few days, weeks and months. I have been noticing changes in my mentality toward myself, others and life. And some questions such as, what is my life about? And what should my objectives be? Have arisen... of course like we all are, I'm subject too making decisions... and there has been the same options in front of me time and time again for months on end. And it becomes rather draining and mundane. And i feel myself going around in circles like something simple just ain't connecting.

I enjoy writing, art, music. And peace of mind... walking, reading, meditation. Taking care of myself. Socialising. Etcetera. Getting ahead, getting in front. Planning, dreaming and so on. And do my best to look after myself. While accepting that it can only ever be so much.

But there just something not quite right. And I'm suffering for it on a daily basis. And I'm tired and fed up with going through the same stuff everyday. And in all honesty. Alot of my suffering comes from prospective and thought processes.

Does anyone wanna talk with me about some things that might help? In particular dealing with people no matter who they are. Can be very stressful and cause lots of procrastinating about pros and cons. In particularly people who i think about reaching out to for support. Because of dilemmas dramas and social dynamics. And picking up on things that "aint really happening" "gut feelings type of stuff " "intuition" that type of thing. And enjoying time with people is great! I just tend to be overly preoccupied with symptoms to be worried about socialising sometimes "Symptoms which involves others"

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

There are lots if reasons why I can't say anything to my family - one is that there would be so much I would have to explain that I can't possibly go into @eudemonism - cant do that with my gp, pdoc or when I had a psychologist - it is all too traumatic for me even now. The other main reason is I know that it wouldn't be very well received - the focus would turn from me and what I need to what they did wrong and that is definitely something I couldn't handle either - the focus needs to be on me and my recovery.

Re: Sharing the wisdom within

I'm having beef stroganoff with pasta @eudemonism but would love some chicken and chips as an entree I haven't had peaches for ages - maybe I should add that to my shopping list - much healthier than donuts lol

I was going to have an early night but I started cooking too late for that - will still try not to be in bed too late though. Need to remember to put my clocks forward tonight too.

@Zoe7 about the traumatic stuff... i went through years of self loathing and feeling guilty, i suppose it was God doing it to me. It was very intense, very scary and seemed very real. It was all based around real and actual events... or i suppose it was my illness... massive and elaborate scenarios of resentment and repentance that involved every body who was ever involved with these real and actual events (basically it was all based around my behaviour )

I'm getting tired, I'm going to switch off soon.

Anyone feel like talking today? It's a wonderful spring day here, I've had a phone call with a friend, I've woken up feeling alright.

Quite often i think about going walking and going fishing, but i hardly ever get around to it, because i just don't feel like it. Plus I've got my addiction to cigarettes to constantly contend with.

🤐😯😔🐶🐺🐡

What are you all doing today?

@eudemonism Hi Eude. it is pouring here but that is okday because we need it so badly. Slept really well another plus and my ex is coming up to see me to discuss my daughters needs which is great so we will spend some time together. I like my ex so that is also another plus.

Maybe you can go for a quick walk around the block and enjoy the spring air :). Really happy for you that you woke up feeling fine this morning.

Good morning @eudemonism @Bunniekins ...... 👋

Its church for me on Sunday mornings (usually) .... then lunch at home before going to an art exhibition. The kids have asked their Dad to come along, so this is going to be very interesting. They are going to have to explain a lot of the artwork to him because there is a lot of expressionism and abstractism in this show. It also means that we will

have a shared memory of this experience, and despite the rest of us being really arty, my mr. is not ...... so he is embarking on a learning journey led by the kids.

I am really looking forward it.

Then it’s a visit to markets.

The it’s off to Bunnings later.

I hope you both enjoy the day.
